I started new job on November 8, 2022.

I'm now Patient Care Associate at MRI unit at local hospital.
It's totally different from my education and past jobs, but I enjoy leaning new things.
The best part of this job is that I can read books while the patient is in the MRI.
In other words, I can read while getting paid.
(I was recommended to bring books at my job interview)
I used to bring books everywhere I go.
But last several years has been hard to concentrate on reading.
Since I moved here, it's harder to get new books, especially Japanese books.
Also, there are too many other things. I don't have time to read.
I was reading while walking home from elementary school, so I don't know what is the real reason behind this,
but anyway, I got time to sit and read since I got this part-time job (two days a week).
So this is my reading logs at work, not really review, more like journal of my reading time.
Also, I extracted some reading log from my diary.
There are some Japanese books which doesn't have English translation (in that case, given English title would be roughly translated by me) but I will try my best to describe the book in English.

I read any kind of books but preferably by non-white-male author.
2022年11月の頭から、新しい仕事に就きました。（おもしろい経緯はこちらから）
MRI技師の助手、というまったく初めてのフィールドですが、いろんなことを学んでいます。
その中でも気に入っているのが、待ち時間に本が読めることです。
患者さんがMRIの中に入っている間は待機時間であり、面接の際に本を持ってくるように勧められました。
お給料をもらいつつ、堂々と本が読めるなんて、最高。
わたしはもともと、どこに行くにも本を持ち運んでいた本好きですが、
この数年は以前のように本の世界に没頭することがむずかしいと感じていました。
他にもすることがたくさんあって、時間が生み出せないというか、集中できない。
下校時に歩きながら本を読んでいて、電柱にぶつかったこともあるので、それは本当の理由ではなさそうですが。
とにかく、この新しい仕事（週2日）がはじまって、読む環境がもどってきたと感じています。
不思議な環境でする読書と、その感想、本のレビューというよりは読んだ時間の記録としてここに更新していきます。
普段の日記から引用している箇所もあります。
英語の本も日本語の本もあり、訳が出ているもの、出ていないものもあります。
日本語の本で英訳がない場合のタイトルはわたしがラフにつけた英訳であり、公式のものではありません。
英語の本で日本語訳が出ている場合は、（わたしが読んだのが英語だとしても）そのタイトルを入れています。
みなさんの感想、おすすめの本も教えていただければとってもうれしいです。
読書環境
This MRI unit is actually a van which is moving small town to town towing by a truck.
Inside van, there is MRI room and also tiny office that MRI technician and I work.
The MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is using strong magnetic field so it makes this loud sound all the time. It somehow sounds like a heart beat.
MRIは移動式のバンで、トラックに牽引されて小さな町を巡回しています。
コンテナのような箱の中にある小さなオフィスがわたしの仕事場であり読書室です。
MRIは強力な磁場を利用しているので、診察時以外も常に鼓動音のような不思議な音がしています。
