I got this book from a friend in Japan.
I have heard the author’s name, but never got chance to read.
Mikako Brady is a Japanese writer based in UK.
She writes about working class, specially about minority, lower class, education, and feminism are her theme, it seems.
In this book she argues about how the empathy needs anarchic way of thinking.
There are many English studies and books that she used as reference,
it’ll be interesting if you know those arguments around empathy, but if not, you still would understand.
I love anarchist, and I’d love to categorize me as one.
Hope there’ll be English version of some of her books!
読み終わったから、と送っていただいた本。
前からあちこちでお名前は拝見していたものの、ブレディさんの本を読むのは初めて。
アナーキストという存在は難しいと感じていたけれど、共感する部分がたくさんある。
じぶんをカテゴリーにはめなくてもいいけれど、もし選ぶなら1番近いと感じるもの。
究極に利己的になることが、まわりまわって利他的になる、というお話はおもしろかった。
英米の学者の引用がとても多い。
いろいろ知っていたらさらにおもしろいんだろうなと感じる本だけれど、知らなくても十分楽しめる。
共感することと、バウンダリーを保つことの両立についても、普段感じていることを理論的に整理してもらったようだった。

I got this package from my friend in Japan.
She gave me 2 books.
I read 1/3 of the first one.
日本のお友達が送ってくれた本が届いたので職場であけて読む。
ひとつはエンパシーについての本で、一気に半分弱読んでしまった。
当たり前だけど、日本語だとやっぱり10倍は早く読める。
