On our property, alfalfa is everywhere.
It is annoying if you try to pull out.
Their root grow like tree, I had to chop off many roots.
But, as cover crops, alfalfa is really good. (also good for food for your livestock)
Grow fast, much nutritious in it, and also good for soil building.
I am using them as mulch hoping it will give some nutrients to the soil and plants.

うちの庭、というか敷地内にはアルファルファがそこら中に生えています。
抜こうとすると、ものすごく大変。
まるで木のようなしっかりした根っこが深く張っていて、最後は斧でたたき切らないといけません。
でも、カバークロップとしてはとても優秀です。（家畜の餌にも）
どんどん育つし、栄養価が高いし、土壌の改良にもなります。
わたしは、摘んだ新芽を乾かして、マルチとして使っています。
土や、植物にとっていいマルチになりそうです。
