yuko's diary 9/7/24

Saturday.

I started my day with watering.

It’s been hot summer days, but somehow feels like the end of summer.

My plants knows that already.

Had coffee and back to outside.

I sow more cover crop seeds, and continued working around apple tree.

Then back to working around the garden beds.

It got hot quickly.

Saige came to say hi, as if she was just passing by.

Then she lays down nearby until she gets bored and go home.

Dan came out and we harvested some tomatoes and cucumbers.

It’s getting close to the end of the season.

We picked one Asian pear, and another one just fell off the tree.

I took shower.

Dan was cleaning the mobile home.

We had bagel with tomato and cream cheese for lunch.

My tomatoes are so sweet.

We watched tennis and baseball.

I did my workout and crocheting.

I made curry and rice for dinner.

I added too much my tomato sauce so it turned out little sour.

But it was good.

I wanted to watch stars, but it was cloudy tonight.

Went to bed.

土曜日。

眠かったけれど、起き上がって水やり。

しばらく真夏日が続いたけれど、もうこれも終わる。

何となく残暑の感があり、植物たちもそれを感じている様子。

夫がいれてくれたコーヒーを飲んでから、また外へ。

カバークロップの続き、それからもう一本のリンゴの木のまわりをしっかり草引きした。

クリムゾンクローバーの種を蒔いておく。

花壇の周りの作業をしたけれど、もう暑くて長くは続けられなかった。

作業をしていると、たまたま通りかかりました、みたいな顔をしてセージが来る。

顔の近くまできて挨拶してくれて、そばで寝そべって、飽きたら帰っていく。

夫とトマトとキュウリの収穫。

トマトはそろそろ下火に。

キュウリは葉っぱの下にいきなり大きいのができているのでびっくりする。

ナシもひとつ採ったら、もうひとつ落ちてきた。

シャワーを浴びてスッキリ。

夫はモバイルホームの掃除をしてくれた。

お昼ご飯は簡単にベーグルサンド。

クリームチーズにお庭のトマトを乗せて。

トマトは小ぶりだけど、びっくりするくらい甘い。

お昼からはテニスの決勝を見たり、野球を見たり、編み物をしたり。

夕方にワークアウトする。

編み物のしすぎで肩が凝ったので、しっかりストレッチも。

夜ご飯はカレー。

先日作ったトマトソースを入れ過ぎて、少し酸っぱくなった。

リンゴの代わりにお庭のナシをすりおろして入れる。

ハチミツも少し。

星を見たかったけれど、外は曇りのまま。

残念。

早めにおふとんに入る。
