I woke up 6:30.
Watered lightly.
I picked tomato and peppers.
Coffee and oatmeal.
I pulled mung beans and sow wheat instead.
Dug more hole for compost.
Dan made kim-cheese for lunch.
Joe came to talk to Dan.
He was depressed that he cannot move around in the way he used to be.
It is natural for 78 year old, but he’s not making peace with his age.
He left telling Dan he’s come back later.
We watched tennis, and I did knitting.
Ons Jabeur went to semi final!
Those names are so hard.
It depends on the announcer.
Joe came back in evening to check Dan’s car.
He figured out that might be the muffler which is making sound.
Dan was happy that we might finally found the cause.
Joe seemed happy too.
I made pepper and tomato omelet and dumplings for dinner.
The tomatoes are almost done.
6時半に起きる。
さっと水やり。
トマトとペッパーを収穫。
コーヒーとオートミール。
ムング豆を引き抜いて、後に麦を植える。
コンポストの穴もさらに掘る。
一気に掘るとしんどいから、少しずつ。
お昼はキムチーズと呼んでいる、キムチ入りのホットサンド。
ジョーが来て少ししゃべっていった。
昨日、手伝いに行った先で、ほとんど体が動かなかったことにショックを受けているようだった。
78歳なのだから仕方ないのだけど、まだ受け入れられていない様子は見ていてもつらい。
夕方戻ってくるといって帰る。
テニスを見たり、編み物をしたり。
チュニジアのアンス・ジャバー選手はセミファイナル進出が決まった。
テニス選手の名前は難しいのが多い。
英語のアルファベットはカタカナみたいに見てそのまま発音がわかるものではないので、
アナウンサーによっても発音がちがう。
ウンス・ジャビアーの方がちかい。
実際の名前は本人が言ってくれるのがいちばんいいんだけれど、なかなか聞く機会がない。
夕方、約束通りジョーが来て、うちの車にのって謎の音の検証をしてくれた。
結果、マフラーを固定しているゴムが割れていることがわかって、たぶんそれが原因だろうと。
夫も見当がついてほっとしたし、ジョーもうれしそうだった。
夜ご飯はトマトとペッパー類の卵とじとギョーザ。
終わりが見えないように感じたトマトも、さすがにもうそろそろだ。
