There are so many tomatoes, I decided to make ketchup.
Italian Heirloom tomato, supposed be good for sauce making.
Peeling, cooking with spice, then strained, then cooked with vinegar.
It’s simple, but takes time.
I worked for this ketchup 9-5.
But it is totally worth it.
The ketchup tastes so good.
Dan made bagel sandwich for lunch.
Saige was here for whole afternoon, but I was too busy working on ketchup,
so I couldn’t play with her.
In the evening, we went for a walk, and she found a deer horn.
She went straight home, tried not let me take it.
Dan was working on his car.
He found a parts which worn out, and it might be the reason of the weird sound.
It got dark and he had to stop.
I took hot bath.
Dan made tomato carbonara.
Bacon, eggs, tomato, cream, and onion.
It was sooo good.
We went to bed early.
水やり、トマトの収穫。
またトマトが溜まってきたので、今日はケチャップをつくることに。
イタリアンエアルームという種類で、皮が薄く水分もすくなく、
いちおうソース向きのもの。
皮を剥いて、スパイスと煮込んで、
ザルで濾してから、酢を足してさらに煮込むというシンプルな工程なのだけれど、
９時から５時までしっかりかかった。
煮込んでいる間も焦げないようにかかりつけなので疲れたけれど、
できあがったケチャップはとてもおいしい。
市販のものとは全く違うものになる。
お昼は夫がつくってくれたベーグルサンドイッチ。
セージが午後中ずっと遊びに来ていたけれど、手が離せなくてあまり遊んであげられなかった。
隙を見て一緒に散歩に出たら、シカのツノを見つけてくわえてきた。
わたしの方に来たら取り上げられると思ったのか、小走りで遠回りして家まで持って帰っていてわらった。
夫はいちにち車の修理。
タイヤを外していろいろしてたけれど、あるパーツがゆるんでいたので、
たぶんそれが原因不明だった音の原因だろう、ということになった。
直せるといいけれど。
暗くなってきて、今日は分解したまま終わり。
お風呂にゆっくりつかる。
夜ご飯は夫がトマト味のカルボナーラをつくってくれた。
ベーコン、卵、トマト、クリーム、タマネギ。
これがまぁおいしかった。サーモンピンクのソース。
夜は早めに寝たと思う。
