yuko's diary 9/22/26

Tuesday.

I woke up little after 4, and went to the car to join an online meeting.

It was about the book I joined and everyone is in Japan, so the meeting was almost over, but I could speak little and it was great.

Went to work.

It was not too slow or busy, and then two ER add-ons.

An 80 some years old patient kept saying “it was the most peculiar experience”

Dan later told me that might be from Sherlock Holmes.

Hahaha

Dan was home and came to pick me up.

He made dumplings and ramen.

So I made celery salad and also added tomatoes.

It was great.

Then I slept a lot.

It was the kind of sleep that my body felt heavy and something was pulling me down.

I only had two hours less sleep than usual, so it must be because of the fall eclipse.

I was on and off of sleep while listening to the baseball.

Also Dan was home and I felt secure.

I managed to take shower and went to bed early.

火曜日。

今日は4時過ぎにエイッと起きて、車へ。

参加させてもらった本の他の著者の方とのオンラインミーティングがあったので参加する。

すでにもう後半で、でもちょっとお話もできて楽しかった。

仕事へ。

今日は暇すぎず、いい感じの予定だと思っていると、ERの追加が2件。

それでもそこまでずれ込まずに進められた。

80代後半の患者さん、終わった後に、”it was the most peculiar experience” と繰り返していてかわいかった。

後で夫に話すと、シャーロック・ホームズの台詞じゃないかとのこと。そうかも！ふふ。

「実に愉快だ」みたいなやつ。

夫が休んで家にいたので、迎えにきてもらった。

ギョウザとラーメンをつくってくれていたので、セロリのナムルをつくって足す。

トマトも。

おいしかった。

その後はただひたすら寝た。

何時かわからなくなるくらい、どろどろっとした眠り。

早起きといってもいつもより2時間早いくらいだったから、きっと秋分の日なのもあるのだろう。

野球中継を聴きながら、寝たり起きたりしていた。

夫が家にいるのもとても安心したのだと思う。

お風呂にはがんばって入った。

夜もぐっすり眠った。
