Woke up 9 am.
I watered the garden.
There was a big gray crane flying over the yard. It circled and flew towards south.
Wow, it was so big.
We had coffee, and I had yogurt.
For some reason, things were slow and I got frustrated.
And there were 3 black trucks with US government number parked at the end of our property. It was on the easement, by the creek, and they were doing some research but it doesn’t feel right.
We went to the Midway to get some supply.
Came back and M came to work, but he got into argument with Dan.
After he talked with one of those researchers, he left.
I kept working on the wall.
M came back and finished on the door.
There was a garden snake in the house.
Crane and snake. What a weird day.
Around 4:30, we decided to go to the bar, but it was closed for staff shortage...
Instead, we went to the farmer’s market. I got more lavender.
We ate tamale at home.
I took shower.
We went to bed early but I couldn’t sleep again.
９時に起きた。
水やりをしていると、真上を、大きくな灰色の鶴が。小川からぐるりとまわり、南の丘の方へ飛んでいった。大きくってびっくりした。
コーヒーとヨーグルト。
なんだか昨日と違って何も進まない感じがして、落ち着かない。
うちの敷地の端、小川のほとりはイーズメントといって、半分市の所有地だ。市が道路などをつくる権利を持っていて、でも管理はうちの責任という、ちょっとめんどうな場所。
そこに、アメリカ政府のナンバープレートをつけた、でかくて黒いトラックが３台止まっていた。小川の調査をしているらしかったけど、なんだかこれもざわざわっとした。
それを横目で見ながら、ネジなどを買いに行ってもどる。
わたしが見ていない間に、Mが来て、夫と口論になっていた。イーズメントの扱いについて、かな。そのあとちょっと作業していたけど、帰ってしまった。
なんだか変だ。
そのあともわたしは作業をしていた。Mはもどってきて、ドアの仕上げをしてくれた。
夫はどこかで休んでいたと思う。
家の中に、黒と白の幾何学模様の蛇がいた。危険そうではなかったし、ほうっておいたらいなくなっていたけれど、鶴と蛇か～。へんな日だ。
Mが帰った後、もういいやという気持ちになって、バーに行ったけれど、スタッフが不足していて休みだった。ショック。
代わりにファーマーズマーケット。ラベンダーの苗をもうひとつ買った。セントジョーズワートのハーブエクストラクトも。
帰ってタマリを食べてシャワー。
夫はかなり落ち込んでいたので、あとはゆっくりした。
はやくお布団に入ったものの、また眠れず。
