Friday.
I woke up late and watered the garden.
It was too late, and the sun was hitting on me hard.
I did laundry of all bath towels and that felt good.
Dan left for work at 10:30.
I wanted to work in the garden, but the sun was too much.
I started knitting my winter hat.
For lunch, I heated up the leftover tamales.
Then later I tried to work in the garden, but it was too hot.
Dan came home when I stopped working.
I took shower, and we went to the restaurant.
It was really crowded.
When we left, more and more customers came in.
Most of them were group of old people.
On the way home, I saw MRI trailer at the back of hospital.
I asked Dan to go back, and checked.
It was the trailer which had accident.
I can’t believe it’s here.
I don’t want to work on this trailer, but most likely we will.
Back home, we changed clothes, and Dan’s thigh hurts, he said.
With shorts, now it’s clear. It was swollen.
We decided to go to ER.
The doctor took a look, and it wasn’t look like something urgent.
So we didn’t get any test, and left.
It was less than an hour.
When we went to ER in Brooklyn, it took 3 hours to talk to the doctor.
I’m glad the hospital is here.
Back home again, we kept cooling his leg.
Hope it will be better tomorrow.
金曜日。
のんびり起きて、水やり。
のんびりしすぎて結構日差しが暑かったけれど、しっかり目に。
バスタオルを全部洗濯して干して、スッキリ気持ちいい。
夫は10時半ごろ出勤。半日仕事。
お庭でしたいこともあったけれど、日差しに負けて、室内にいる。
藍染の毛糸で冬の帽子を編み始めたり。
お昼は残りのタマレを温めて食べる。
ちょっと休憩した後、また外へ出て枯れた草を刈って冬小麦を蒔いたけれど、
すぐに暑くなった。
無理せず休憩、と思ったら夫が帰宅。
シャワーを浴びてから、町のレストランへ。
金曜の夕方で混んでいて、ものすごい忙しそうだった。
帰る頃には待ちのお客さんもいてびっくりした。
気候もいいし、みんな外へ出てくる時なのかな。
特に高齢の方のグループが多くて、興味深く眺めた。
帰り道、病院の裏にMRIのトレイラーが停まっているのが見えた。
え！と思って夫に引き返してもらうと、事故があったトレイラーだった。
警察から戻されたのかも。
来週これで仕事をするのかと思うと落ち込む。
まだ1週間も経っていないのに。
いつもより長めの食事が終わって帰宅。
部屋着に着替えてほっとしていると、夫が太ももが腫れてきたという。
帰ってきてから太ももが痛いとは言っていたけれど、半ズボンに着替えて比べてみると確かに腫れている。
病院に行きたいと言うのでまた着替えて出かける。
ERに入って、看護師さん、お医者さんに診てもらって、でも多分仕事で痛めたのだろうと言うことで詳しい検査はせずに帰ってきた。
1時間も居なかったと思う。
ブルックリンでERに行った時はお医者さんと話すまで3時間くらい待った記憶があるので、ここに病院が会ってよかったなと思う。
熱を持っていないけれど、腫れているのでとりあえず冷やす。
冷凍庫にタオルを入れて、こまめに取り替えた。
明日また様子を見よう。
