Coffee.
The yellow tomato’s skin is toned, so I decided to do the last harvest.
Tie-dye tomato, too.
Pulled tomato plants, and sow wheat after that.
I had oatmeal.
We went to Ace to get some stuff.
I needed pot soil for potting up plants, and also we bought 55 gallon water tank.
So we can store some irrigation water for garden and emergency.
Then we borrow Larry’s suburban and went to Midway to buy green drywall.
We also moved bird house which was by the entrance door to the old apricot tree. And removed the wooden railing which was too old and dangerous.
It made a big difference. The entrance look much better now.
I pulled nails from the railing, and Dan started working on the bathroom.
He’s making a divider between bathtub and toilet.
I made ramen around 2 or 3 pm.
It was kinda humid.
We took some rest.
Watching baseball.
I love living here.
The rain started around 5pm.
It became hail and big ones.
Joe was here, but he had to leave.
Then it became thunderstorm.
What kind of weather is this?
I feel like it’s the signal when the season is changing.
The summer is really over.
We didn’t have dinner.
It was a busy day.
There are so many projects around this house.
There are so many projects that I want to do.
One by one, I’m telling myself.
ゆっくり起きて、コーヒー。
イエロートマトの皮が裂けてきていたのでぜんぶ収穫してしまうことに。
タイダイトマトも。
引き抜いて、麦を撒いておく。
いったん休憩してオートミール。
近くのホームセンターへ買い出し。
鉢上げ用の土と、用水路を溜めておくタンクを。
一旦帰宅後、お隣のラリーに大きな車をかりて別のホームセンターへ。
バスルームに使う、特殊な石膏ボードを買った。
玄関の外側、紅葉のそばにはもともと木造の手すりと、鳥の巣箱がついていたのだけれど、
鳥はわたしたちが出入りするたびにおどろいてかわいそうだったし、
手すりはぼろぼろで逆に危ないので、
巣箱が空き家になったタイミングでアプリコットの木に移動、
手すりも外してしまった。
それだけで玄関周りがすっきり！
わたしは外した手すりの釘抜き、
夫は石膏ボードをつかって、トイレとバスタブのあいだに衝立を作り始める。
2時過ぎ、さすがにお腹が空いて、ラーメン。
去年の夏、毎日作業してた頃みたい。
なんだか湿度が高くて、食べたら汗をかいた。
食後ちょっと休憩。
野球を見ながら横になる。
まいにちたのしいなぁ、と思う。
夕方、雨。
と、雹！けっこう大きい。
降り始めたと同時にジョーが来て、でもすぐに帰って行った。
なんだか騒がしい。
その後は一晩中雷雨。
ここの季節が変わるときはこういう風に大きな合図があるようだ。
あれ、夜ごはん食べなかった。
今日はいちにち忙しかったな。
家の周りのしごとはたくさんある。
したいこともたくさんある。
