Coffee, oatmeal, then went outside.
Before watering, I sow some fall seeds.
Some were germinated, some are not.
I pulled squash, cleaned, sow cover crops, and cover with compost.
I harvested tomatoes.
It’s already close to noon.
Today was the women tennis final.
We watched it while eating tomato and cream cheese bagel sandwiches.
Ons Jabuer wasn’t doing well in the beginning,
but she came back to the tie break in the second set, and lost.
She said “I don’t like her so much right now, but it’s ok.”
I like her honesty.
My friend told me that she lost at final in the Wimbledon, too.
Must be hard for her.
There were many trucks in and out of the saw mill next door.
It’s the time of the year to prepare the woods.
I knit a lot today and nothing else.
I was still sleepy whole day.
We could smell the smoke in the evening, but it’s gone quickly.
I wish it’ll rain soon.
No dinner.
It’s nice break as we’ve been eating a lot.
今日も先にコーヒー、オートミール。
そしてさらに種を撒いてから水やり。
芽が出てきたもの、まだのもの。
スクワッシュのツルをもうすこし片付けて、カバークロップを撒き、コンポストをかぶせておく。
トマトを収穫。
ここまででもうお昼前。
お昼からはテニス女子の決勝戦。
トマトとクリームチーズのベーグルサンドを食べながら見始める。
オンス・ジャバー選手は出だしの不調を引きずって、2セット目でなんとか持ち直したけれど負けてしまった。
直後のインタビューで、対戦相手のことを、今この瞬間はあまり好きじゃないと冗談まじりに言っていて、正直でいいなぁと思う。
ウィンブルドンに続いての準優勝らしい。悔しいだろうな。
近所の木工所にトラックが行き来していた。
そろそろ薪を準備する季節だな。
今日は編み物をすすめたりするだけで後はのんびりした。
まだ満月の影響がありそうで眠い。
夕方、また煙の匂いがきついなと思ったけれど、そのまま消えていった。
雨が降ってほしいなぁ。
夜は食べずに終わった。
ここ数日よく食べてたからバランスがとれてちょうどいい。
