Saturday.

I woke up 6:30 today.

No irrigation water as some pipe was broken.

So I had to use water from garbage can which we filled before evacuation.

Then I had to use potable water.

I harvested kale and cooked it with soy meat.

Brown rice, fish sticks, tomatoes and cucumber.

I also packed Dan’s bento.

After he left for work, I did laundry.

It was too smoky to hang them outside, so I used dryer.

I studied and finished the online portion.

But it didn’t reflect on the website.

It must be a bug, but it didn’t felt good.

I ate leftover for dinner.

Then went out and transplanted lettuce and kale.

As the daytime is getting shorter, I don’t know how much I can get our of these, but even if I won’t get any harvest, it will act as cover crop, so I’m fine with it.

I did my workout and then worked on my crochet project while listening to baseball.

It has been too long.

Not only the evacuation, but I have been too busy studying.

I need to use my hands too.

When Dan came home, we talked while.

It’s finally weekend!

土曜日。

今日は6時半に起きれた。

用水路が一部破損して、修理は月曜になりますと連絡があったので、水やりが少し大変だった。

避難前にゴミ箱用の巨大バケツに汲んでおいた水をまず使う。

ジョウロで10往復くらいで使えたと思う。

その後は水道水のホースにつなげて水やり。水道代が怖いけど仕方ない。

ケールを収穫して、お昼ごはんに取り掛かる。

ニンニク、大豆ミートと一緒に炒め煮にする。

玄米ごはん、フィッシュスティック、お庭のトマトとキュウリで丼に。

夫のお弁当も詰める。

夫を送り出して洗濯。

今日は煙の匂いがひどく、乾燥機を使った。

勉強を進めて、ついにオンラインコースを最後までやり切る。

終わった〜と思ったら、なぜか最後のクレジットが反映されなくて、終わっていないことになっている。

なんかのバグだろうけれど、すっきりしない。ちぇ。

お昼の残りで晩ごはん。

それからお庭に出て、レタスとケールの苗を植え付ける。

日照時間が少なくなっていることを思うと、どこまで育ってくれるかわからないけれど、収穫までいかなくても、カバークロップの代わりになるし、すべてよし。

ワークアウトして、その後は野球を聴きながら編み物。

こういうのも日常に戻ってきた証拠だな。

避難だけじゃなくって、ここ数週間、勉強にがんばりすぎてこういう時間がなかった。

手を動かす時間はやっぱりありがたい。

夫が帰宅してしばらくおしゃべり。

明日はようやく夫の週末だ。
