Friday.

I woke up little after 6:30, and started sourdough and went out to water.

Tomatoes I picked this morning, garlic, onion, and basil made into pasta sauce.

After cooking while, I used my brand new immersion blender for the first time.

It was way easier than I imagined, and really nice.

I added sour cream, and soy sausage.

Lots of parmesan cheese and that was great.

After Dan left for work, I did three loads of laundry.

The last one, I put my skirt with whites, and that made everything light blue…

Jeez.

I baked, and cooked down many many cherry tomatoes.

Roast the, and blend it and removed some seeds.

It yielded way much more than before.

The emergency bags are out in the deck from the car trunk.

So I cleaned and organized them.

We are missing this and that, we will get more stuff.

I wrote emails, and worked on homepage.

And studied.

All while cooking down tomatoes.

The sauce I made for lunch was yellow, but this one is bright red.

The taste are also different.

It’s really interesting.

I got a news and went out to the garden.

The sky was sublime.

When I finished canning, it was already 7.

I studied some more.

The day I stay home is way busier than the day I go to work.

But this work doesn’t make me tired.

It’s fun.

When I got ready to do my workout, I realized that one of diamond of the engagement ring is missing.

OH my god.

I didn’t know it’s possible.

I got panicked as this ring was from Dan’s late mother and I feel like it’s not mine.

I checked everywhere, and went outside.

When I told Dan over the phone, he said it’s ok but I cried.

I kept looking for it, and eventually found it by the bed.

Oh my.

I called Dan again.

What a busy off day!


金曜日。

6時半ごろ自然と目が覚めて、パンを仕込んでから水やり。

朝収穫したトマト、ニンニク、タマネギ、バジルでパスタソースをつくる。

ぐつぐつ煮込んでから、先日届いたところのイマージョンブレンダーでなめらかにする。

想像よりもずっと使いやすくて最高だった。

サワークリームを足して、大豆ソーセージも入れて出来上がり。

仕上げにパルメザンチーズをたっぷりかける。とってもおいしい。

夫を見送って洗濯3回。

3回目に白物を洗うときに、油断してチェックのスカートを一緒に入れたら見事に色移りした。

白いTシャツが淡い水色に‥。やってしまった。

パンを焼いて、今日も大量のトマトに向き合う。

ミニトマトをローストして、水分を除いてからブレンダーを軽く。

種を濾して、後はひたすら煮詰める。

これまでザルで裏漉していたのとは全然取れる量が違う。

すごいなー。

火事の時にトランクに詰めた荷物いろいろを、夫がデッキに移していたので、整理して片付ける。

一部洗濯も。

ついでに少し見直す。

買い足したいものがいろいろあるな。

メールを書いたり、ホームページの作業をしたり、勉強をしたり。

トマトは少しずつ煮詰まってくる。

お昼に作ったのは黄色だったのに、このソースは真っ赤。

色も違うし、味も違う。

おもしろいな。

夕方、ある連絡を受けてから外に出ると、夕陽がなんとも神々しかった。

瓶詰めまで終わったらもう7時。もう少し勉強する。

今日も忙しかった。

家にいる方が仕事に行く日よりも何倍も忙しい。

でも疲れない。楽しい。

9時ごろ、ワークアウトをしようとして、ふと手を見ると、婚約指輪のダイヤがひとつ無い。

みっつ並んだクラシカルなデザインで、縦爪が少し擦れてきているなとは思っていたけれど、まさか取れるなんて。

この指輪は夫の亡くなった母が夫に残したもので、じぶんの指輪というより、夫から預かっているものという感覚が強い。

仕事終わりの夫に電話して謝ったら泣けてきた。

夫は気にしないと言ってくれたけれど、彼にとって母とのつながりはとても大きいと知っているからつらい。

あきらめきれず、あちこち見て回る。

床を掃除しながら歩いていたら、ベッドの近くで光るものがあって、ダイヤが見つかった！

うわー、よかった。すぐに夫に電話する。

夫が帰宅してたくさんおしゃべりした。

盛りだくさんな1日だった。
