Watering.
I harvested tomatoes and cucumbers.
I did cold stratification.
It means that seeds go through “winter” period in the fridge,
so that improves the rate of germination.
I also planted two apricot seeds that started growing.
Those seedlings that I moved from yard aren’t going to survive...
It’s difficult.
Today we had to pick up the groceries.
Before that, we stopped at the post office to pick up my package.
It was two small bag which I purchased from my artist friend.
Their drawing is very intense and interesting.
Also the letter with drawing was so beautiful.
We had bagel tomato sandwich for lunch.
As the vinegar had arrived, I started making pickles.
I don’t have fresh dill leaves, but seeds.
And 7 cucumbers.
In the end, it was 5 small jars for winter, 2 big jars for now.
Dan eats a lot of pickles, they won’t last long.
Dan was mowing the yard.
It got hot quickly.
Then we had strong wind for evening.
It rained just a little bit.
I made ramen for dinner.
Kale, bacon, and tomato.
水やり、トマトの収穫。
キュウリも７本ほど収穫する。
ラベンダーの種を冷蔵庫で６週間ほど保存していたものを植える。
ラベンダーは発芽率がもともと低いので、こうやって冬を擬似体験させるとうまくいきやすいとのこと。
アプリコットの種もふたつ発芽していたので植木鉢に移す。
庭から掘り起こした方はやっぱり根付かないかもしれない。
むずかしいなぁ。
今日は月イチで食料品を受け取りに行く日。
その前に郵便局へ。不在者表が入っていたので受け取りに。
友達から購入した小さな巾着の作品だった。
細かい線のドローイングがしてある。
いっしょに入れてくれた手紙のドローイングがまたすごい。
お昼はベーグルトマトサンド。
酢が届いたので、ピクルスをつくる。
ディルがもう種になってしまっていたけれど、それもまたいいかなと思って入れる。
小さな瓶５個は保存用に、大きな瓶２個はすぐ食べる用。
夫がどんどん食べるので、すぐになくなってしまいそう。
夫は芝刈りをしていた。
外はしっかり暑い。
夕方からは急に強い風。
雨がすこし降ったけれどすぐに止んでしまった。
夜はラーメン。
ベーコンと、炒めたケールと、トマト入り。
