Woke up around 6. It was still smoky. The rain did not help...
Around 11 am, M came to do the plumbing in the mobile home,
and went back to pick up more tools.
He was trying to connect the bathroom, but for some unknown reason,
there was a leak.
Meanwhile, Dan was working hard on the window. He hates making cuts on the original wood.
I tried to help him, but he wanted to do by himself, so I tore down some more wall.
M came back, and worked little.
Then he needs to buy more plumbing parts, so we decided to go to Midway in Oroville which is north town we've never been yet.
There, I got a hammer holder for my new hammer.
Then he showed us around a little bit. Osoyoos lake and the Canadian border.
We stopped a country store, too.
M dropped us at home, and went his home for dinner but came right back as the dinner wasn't ready.
He worked hard to finish the toilet.
By 9 pm, he managed to install new toilet. Yay!
We went to M's house to take shower, ate little dinner, and we chatted.
M got a new haircut just like mine.
６時におきた。まだ煙ってる。昨日の雨では洗い流せなかったのか〜。
１１時ごろ、Mが来て、トレイラーの方のバスルームの配管工事を始めた。
途中、道具が足りなくて家に戻ってった。
トレイラーはつまり、移動式の家。スクールハウスにたぶん７０年代に追加されたものだと思う。
どうもその配管が変なのか、それとも途中で雪によって破裂したのか、水漏れしている箇所がある。
その間夫は窓枠の設置に四苦八苦していた。
思っていたよりも何倍も難しいみたい。あまり手伝っても欲しくなさそうだから、横で壁を解体したり、釘を抜いたりしていた。
Mが戻ってきてさらに作業をしていた。
それから、配管のパーツを買いに行くことに。
ひとつ北の、オロヴィルという町に行く。はじめてだ。
ついでにぐるりとまわって見せてくれた。オソイユス湖、カナダの国境。
カントリーストアにも寄る。
いったんわたしたちを下ろして、夕飯を食べに帰って行ったけれど、まだできてなかったと言ってもどってくる。
今日どうしてもトイレを設置してしまいたいらしい。
あれこれあった後、９時にはトイレがつきました。
水洗トイレ〜！キャンピングカーもいちおう水は流れるけど、ぼっとんだから、これはかなりうれしい。
今日はさすがにシャワーが必要だとのことで、M家にひさしぶりにお邪魔する。
交代でシャワーを借りて、晩ご飯をすこしいただいて、おしゃべりしたり、Mの髪を刈ったりした。
わたしとおなじような刈り上げヘアにしたのだけど、流浪のサムライみたいでよく似合っている。
