Friday.
It was cold!
Cold morning is the best time to remove wasp’s nest.
I attacked one over the front door and one by the porch.
Wasps can’t move when the temperature is low.
So it’s easy and safe this way.
After watering the garden, I painted the south side.
It was already under the sun, and I was hot but I wanted to finish.
When I was almost done, Dan came home from half day work, and he took over the job.
When I sit down, I realized that I was really hot.
The Fedex driver was honking and we saw Saige was barking at him.
Her size and voice makes her a scary dog, which she is not.
We changed and went to the Iron grill.
We both had fried chicken sandwich.
Back home, we had a nap, and relaxing afternoon.
Then I went outside to scatter mulch over the garden.
It will be hot next week and I’m trying to do things to protect my plants.
We were not hungry and didn’t have dinner.
Snacked on chips and ice cream, and had yogurt with plum.
We talked a lot tonight.
Dan told me that I wake up smiling and sometimes laughing in the sleep.
I guess I’m happy.
金曜日。
窓を開けて寝ていたのだけど、朝起きたら寒い！
寒い朝にはするべきことがあって、それはアシナガバチの駆除。
玄関の真上の巣と、ポーチの上の巣をふたつ駆除した。
寒いと動きが鈍いアシナガバチには悪いけれど、これがいちばん安全な方法。
水やり後、南側の覆いのペンキ塗り。
最後の部分、やっぱり日に当たってぼろぼろなので、かなり時間がかかった。
暑くなってきて、でも最後までやってしまいたい、と粘っていると半日仕事から帰ってきた夫が変わってくれた。
休んでみると、確かに日を浴び過ぎていたなぁとわかる。
フェデックスのトラックが来たけど、クラクションを鳴らしてる？と思って出てみると、セージが吠えてるのでドライバーの人が困っていた。
体も大きいし、声も低いので、確かに知らないと怖いかも。
着替えて町のレストランへ。
フライドチキンのサンドイッチを食べる。
あつあつでおいしい～。
帰宅してお昼寝。
そこまで暑くないけど、外で作業をすると暑いのでしばらくだらだらする。
夕方外に出て、マルチを敷いたり。
来週はぐっと暑くなる予報なので、できる限りの対策をする。
夜はお腹が空かなくて、ヨーグルトとプラム、ポテトチップスなどをつまむ。
たくさんおしゃべりした。
夫曰く、わたしは笑顔で起きるし、夜中寝ながら笑っていることもあるらしい。
毎日たのしいからね。
