Thursday.
I went out before 6 and watered the garden.
As I watered half last night, it was much easier.
I continued painting.
Started on the west side and moved to the south side.
It was already getting hot but the first part was actually under the black walnut tree and that made it so present.
I love trees, I want to plant more.
I stopped around 1pm and took bath.
Then did laundry and took it easy after that.
Dan came home little after 5 and we went to the farmer’s market but Michael and Diego were not there.
We asked the other Mexican place and they didn’t have anything left.
No tamales this week.
Back home I harvested kale, cucumber and eggplant.
Made quick pickles with cucumber and eggplant, marinated red cabbage, sautéed kale, and made dumplings.
Put everything over rice and it was really good.
It got cool at night.
木曜日。
6時前から水やり。
昨日半分やっておいたおかげで余裕をもってできた。
ペンキ塗りの続き。
西側の覆いをどんどん塗っていく。
ここはだいぶ痛んでいるから、ペンキもあまり残ってない。ざっと剥がしてどんどん塗る。
南側まで進んで、その頃には暑くなってきたけれど、黒くるみの木の木陰になっていて、よそ風がなんとも気持ちよかった。
ああ、やっぱり木はいいなぁ。
もっと木を植えようと思う。
1時過ぎにストップしてお風呂。
朝は寒くて冷えたので、しっかり温まる。
そのまま洗濯して、のんびり過ごした。
夫は5時ごろ帰宅。
すぐにファーマーズマーケットに行ったけれど、マイケルとディエゴがいない！
がーん。
もう一件のメキシカンの出店に行ったけれど、そこも売り切れていた。
今週はタマレなし。
帰って気持ちを切り替えて、お庭で収穫。
ナス、キュウリ、ケール。
キュウリは別の種類のもの。
こちらは全然苦くなくてほっとした。
キュウリとナスは浅漬け、ケールは炒める。
紫キャベツのナムルもつくって、餃子も焼いて、ミニトマトも切って、ご飯の上にぜんぶ乗せた。
野菜たっぷり餃子丼。
とてもおいしい。
夜はぐんと涼しくなった。
