yuko's diary 7/31/24

I didn’t sleep enough and got my period. Great.

The irrigation water was off, and so I had to use the tap water to water the garden.

I finished quickly and walked to work.

It was almost full schedule and everything went smooth.

I could read my book.

Now I think it’s about Palestine.

From the birth of new dictator to the genocide, it was just a few pages.

It was too close to reality, yet fantasy, and the silliness suddenly felt gross.

The lift wasn’t working properly and so Adam came to fix.

He brought his dog.

It was a puppy of great pyrenees.

Although it is a puppy, it’s bigger than Saige.

People from hospital came to see the dog.

And they brought their dogs.

Pug puppies.

Non of them made any sounds. Wow.

I finished working around 4, and walked home.

After did that the workout, I was done.

So tired.

Dan made salad, and we put salmon bits.

We went to bed early.

寝不足で起きたら生理。

用水路の水が止まっていて、水道水で水やり。

さっと済ませて仕事へ。

鮭のお礼にキュウリを持って行ったけれど、同僚はキュウリはお庭で育てているとのこと。

代わりに放射線科に持っていくと、秒でなくなった。キュウリおいしいよね。

今日は予定が詰まっていたけれど、全てスムーズにいった。

合間に読書。

読み進めると、あれ、これはもしかしてパレスチナの話？となる。

独裁者の誕生から、民族浄化まで数ページで進んで、その簡単さに見覚えがあって息がしにくい。

短い話だからこその展開の速さに、なんだか抵抗するように読んだ。

リフトの調子がまた悪く、修理をしにきてくれたアダムが、犬を連れてきた。

グレート・ピレニーズの子犬。

子犬って言っても、セージの2倍くらい大きい。

すごく大人しくて、撫でまわしても何も言わないし吠えないし、瞳がキラキラしていて、じっと目を合わせてくるのがとってもかわいかった。

病院の事務の人たちも見に来る。

その後、事務の人たちがパグの子犬を3匹見せにきた。

なんとも犬で溢れた日だった。

どの子犬もすごく大人しくてひと言も吠えなくてびっくり。

4時過ぎに終わって、歩いて帰る。

筋トレをしたら、もうクタクタで編み物をしてのんびり過ごす。

夫がサラダをつくってくれて、残りのサーモンをほぐしてふりかけて食べた。

9時過ぎには寝たと思う。

よく働いた。
