Woke up 5:30 and watered.
I had little time till it got too hot.
Harvested rest of buckwheats, lettuce seeds and onion seeds too.
A bright lemon yellow bird was flying around.
It was eating sunflower seeds.
As I’ve never seen those birds, it looked like fake.
Later a friend told me that it might be goldfinch.
Coffee and cereal.
It’s a day to pick up organic food.
When we got there, the truck was already gone, very smooth.
We also bought several things at store.
I was asking if anyone wants to be my pen pal on my radio.
And I got one! Yay.

I wrote 2 letters today.
It got hot very quick.
The highest today is 106.
Dan made quesadillas and we stayed in the bedroom.
Mets vs Yankees again.
We watched when Pete Alonso hit a homer, but later Yankees made to a tie game.
We were upset and turn it off.
Then later found out that Mets won!
Yay!
The subway series looked like world series with full of people in the stadium.
I received package from my friend who has underwear brand in Tokyo.
I ordered 2 pairs for both of us.
She gave me yarn which she natural died. It has beautiful salmon pink.
I made ramen with chicken soup.
With kale and chard from my garden and ham.
I’m so glad that I made chicken soup.
Will do it again.
It didn’t get cool in the evening.
However, we made it cooler in kitchen.
I guess if I close the window in the morning and keep them shut whole day, it works better.
Every day is a lesson.
５時半ごろ起きて水やり。
暑くなるまですこし余裕があった。
ソバの収穫の続き。
レタスの種、タマネギの種を少しだけ収穫。
それの選別など。
レモンイエローの鳥がひゅんひゅんと飛んでいる。
ヒマワリの種を食べているのかな。
見慣れなくて、なんだかつくりものみたいに思える。
後で友達がゴールドフィンチではないかと教えてくれた。
日本名はオウゴンヒワ。なるほど。
コーヒーとシリアル。
今日は月一の食料品を取りにいく日。
とても暑いので覚悟していったけれど、スムースに終わって帰宅。
ついでに２件ほど回って買い物も。

さぁ、どんどん暑くなってきた。本日の最高気温４１度。
夫がつくってくれたケーサディーヤを食べて、寝室にこもっている。
メッツ対ヤンキース２戦目。
ホームランでメッツが先制点を入れたところから見始めたので楽しかったけれど、
後半の情けないプレーで一気に追いつかれて、思わず消してしまう。
試合が終わってからニュースを見たら、メッツが逆転勝ちしていた。
わー、見ればよかった！
でもわたしたちが見てたら負けてたかもしれないと思うファン心理。
サブウェイ・シリーズはこれで終わり。
最近のアメリカでは野球はあまり盛り上がっていないというか、
ガラガラのスタジアムも多いのだけれど、サブウェイ・シリーズはまるでワールドシリーズみたいに満員だった。
東京で手作りの下着ブランドをしているお友達から、新しいパンツが届く。
夫の分と４枚、さらにおまけで茜染めの毛糸も！
わーいうれしいな。
夜ごはんはチキンスープの残りでラーメン。
お庭のケール、チャード、ハムを入れた。
うーん、おいしい。チキンスープは正解だった。
丸ごと鶏を使ったスープより気軽にできたし、またやろう。
夜が涼しくならない！
ここがピークだろうと思う。
でもキッチンは涼しく保てた。窓を１日締め切っていたことと、
寝室の涼しい風を扇風機で送っていたことがよかったのだと思う。
毎日学んでいる。
