yuko's diary 7/25/26

Saturday.

I woke up little after 5, and watered the garden.

The sunrise is already close to 5:30.

There are ashes everywhere.

I sow some more seeds, and set trap for gopher.

Breakfast, and then went back to the garden.

I harvested cilantro seeds for next year, and one more round for this year.

We decided to go to the restaurant in the town.

It’s been so long since we went there together.

The menu was changed.

I couldn’t eat half of my burger.

But it was fun.

We took nap.

I can’t believe how much I can sleep.

Then we listened to the baseball, and read my book.

It cooled down quite lot, and so I went out to weed.

Harvested some more seeds and sow right there.

We just ate leftover for dinner.

We finished “A Taxi Driver”

It got serious in the second half.

Still, it ended too happy for what really happened there.

I’m glad that I watched it though.

I didn’t know how big the city of Gwangju is really.

And the acting was great.

I had a good night sleep.

土曜日。

今日も5時過ぎに起きて水やり。

日の出がもう遅くなってきて、5時半に近い。

山火事の灰があちこちに。

今日も追加の種を植えた。

ホリネズミがまた活動を始めたので、罠を仕掛ける。

朝ごはん。

お庭に戻って、パクチーの種、つまりコリアンダーの収穫。

来年植える用と、もう一度今年植える用。

お昼過ぎに、着替えて町のレストランへ。

夫と行くのはものすごくひさしぶり。

メニューも変わっていた。

大きなバーガーで、半分も食べられずに持ち帰る。

でも楽しい。

またたっぷりお昼寝。

ちょっと心配になるくらい眠れる。

起きてからも野球中継を聞いたり、本を読んでのんびりした。

夕方、外に出ると涼しかったので、少し草引き。

パクチーの種を収穫してそのまま蒔く。

夜はお腹が空かず、お昼の残り物で済ませる。

『タクシー運転手』を最後まで観る。

後半は深刻さが増したし、ソン・ガンホがとてもよかった。

映画は最後未来に飛んで、その後の弾圧とか、いろんなことが省略されている。

本を読んだ時には光州がこんなに大きな市だと想像できてなかったので、観れてよかった。

夜もたっぷり眠った。
