yuko's diary 7/24/26

Friday.

I managed to wake up at 5, and watered the garden.

Also added some more seeds.

Then I took short nap while Dan did mowing, laundry, and making lunch.

Breakfast burritos.

We also had a long nap together.

Almost whole afternoon.

We were so sleepy.

A patient told me this kind of weather made them sleepy, but it was just like that.

We slept until evening.

Dan did some more mowing.

I painted little stones red.

And made fake strawberries.

I heard this discourages birds from eating my actual strawberries.

I want to try fake snakes too.

We listened to baseball.

For dinner, we made kim-cheese and potato salad.

The AC was on whole day, but I turned it off at night.

We watched half of “The Taxi Driver” (2017)

Korean movie about Gwaungju Uprising.

After reading a novel by Han Kang, this movie feels really light.

I imagine it was great deal that this movie was even made.

I hated that German reporter and bad acting of this white guy.

Although we slept whole day, we still had a good night sleep.

金曜日。

寝不足だけど5時に起きて水やり。

追加の種まきも。

朝ごはんの後でお昼寝。

夫が芝刈りをして、洗濯物を干して、お昼ごはんを作ってくれた。

ブレックファストブリトー。

その後で一緒にお昼寝。

というか、一日中寝た。

寝ても寝ても眠い。

ある患者さんが、山火事の煙で眠たくなると言っていたけれどそんなん感じ。

夕方までしっかり眠った。

夫はまた芝刈り。

わたしはお庭で拾った小石を、アクリル絵の具で赤く塗る。

どこかで見たのだけど、偽のイチゴを置いておくと、鳥たちが興味をなくすそう。

おもしろいのでやってみる。

ゴム製のヘビも試してみたい。

野球中継を聴く。

晩ごはんはキムチーズとポテトサラダ。

一日中、クーラーをかけていたけれど、夜には気温が下がったので、切って窓を開ける。

映画『タクシー運転手』を途中まで観る。

ソン・ガンホの演技がいい。

『少年が来る』を読んだ後だと、全ての描写が軽いと感じるけれど、映画公開時は、描かれたことさえ大きなことだったのかなと想像する。

ドイツ人記者の傲慢な態度と下手な演技が鼻についた。

あんなに眠ったのに、夜もたっぷり寝た。
