Watering deep.
I watered trees too.
It took me more than an hour specially when I am careful not to water foliage.
Dan left home before 9am.
It was already getting hot.
I worked on the window.
The second layer.
It dried quick, I smoothed it and got ready to the top coat.
I could feel the temperature is rising in the kitchen.
On the other hand, the bedroom was cool.
I think it’s because there are no window on east or west side, and the windows on the south side are small.
Took shower, and when I was writing letter, Dan came home.
We had nap together.
I made rice, and we ate with the leftover sauce.
The sun is so strong until 7pm.
The heatwave in Europe is coming here.
I’m thinking to put some curtain or shade outside of kitchen window.
Also worried about the plants, but only thing I can do is watering them carefully.
Will plant more tree around house.
When it passed 8pm, it cools down quickly.
We talked a lot, and went bed early, but I couldn’t sleep.
We subscribed The New Yorker again, the first one arrived today.
水やりから。
しっかり、木にもたっぷり。
なるべく葉っぱにかからないように、と気をつけてやっていると、１時間以上かかる。
夫は９時前に出ていった。
もう暑くなり始めている。
窓の作業から。
二回目のパテ塗り。
どんどん乾いていくので、バリをとって、スポンジをかけるところまで一気に。
キッチンの気温が上がっていくのがよくわかる。
逆に寝室はずっと涼しいまま。
東西に窓がないのと、南側の窓も小さいからだろう。
終わったらもう疲れていて、シャワーを浴びる。
手紙を２通。
夫も早めに帰ってきたので、いっしょにお昼寝。
ごはんを炊いて、昨日のソースをかけて食べる。
卵のないオムライスみたいでおいしい。
７時くらいまで日差しがとても強い。
つい先日、ヨーロッパの熱波のニュースを心配しながら見ていたけれど、
ここにもそろそろ来そう。
キッチンの窓の外に何かつけないと、暑くて厳しいな。
お庭の植物も心配だけれど、こちらは水やりしかいまできることがない。
やっぱり木をもっと植えていこうと思う。
８時過ぎて、陽が陰り出すと一気に気温が下がる。
夜はいろいろおしゃべりして、早めにおふとんに入ったけれど寝付けず。
雑誌ニューヨーカーをまた購読、今日１冊目が届いた。
