Woke up early and did watering.
It will be hot today.
Dan left home by 9.
The sun come through the south window in the kitchen already shifted,
now it’s all afternoon sun.
I don’t think that’s good for my plants, so I moved them outside.
At the east side of the house.
I will keep eye on them.
I harvested onions today. Only those which I grew from sets not seeds.
They didn’t grow big, but they are cute.
Now I am curing them on the porch of mobile home.
Those small onions I will use first.
Today I made bolognese sauce.
I flied onion, carrot, green beans with sage, thyme, and garlic.
And added ground beef, then canned diced tomato.
While cooking, I started working on the window.
Fixing those corner bead with joint compound.
Today I did very well.
I sponged too.
When I finish working, Dan came home.
We put AC on and rest in the bedroom.
We had pasta with my sauce.
Very good.
The secret ingredients are miso and soy sauce.
We went to get popsicle.
We call it ice candy in Japan.
When Dan pulled ceiling fan’s thread, and it just broke.
We opened and tried to fix, but there’s no way we can fix.
The fact that they didn’t make products fixable made me sad, but that’s everything now.
It cooled down at night.

早起きして水やり。
今日も暑くなりそう。
夫は９時前に出発。
台所の南側の窓に光が入る時間が変わってきて、
今は午後の西陽が強い、あまり植物によくなさそうなので、
もう外に出すことにした。
東側、モミジのまわりに置いて、まず様子を見る。
今日はタマネギを収穫した。
球根から育ててたもの。
あんまり大きくならなかったけれど、かわいい。
軒下でしばらく乾かす。
特に小さいものはすぐに料理する。
今日はボロネーゼソースをつくる。
タマネギ、ニンジン、グリーンビーンをセージとタイムとニンニクと一緒に炒めて、
そこに牛ミンチを入れ、色が変わったらトマト缶を投入。
煮詰めて完成。
横で、窓の作業も始める。
コーナービードをパテで固定していく。
今日はなんだかとてもスムーズにできた。
やすりがけが少なくていいように、乾き切る前に削ってスポンジをかける。
一息ついたところで夫が帰宅。
ちょうど暑くなってきて、クーラーを入れて寝室でゆっくりした。
夕方、パスタを茹でて、ソースをかけて食べる。
あっさりしていておいしい。隠し味はお醤油と味噌。
アイスキャンディが食べたくなって、買いに行く。今回はマンゴー味。
アイスキャンディは和製英語なのか、伝わらなくて笑った。
アメリカ英語ではポプシクルか、イタリアンアイス。
夜、シーリングファンの紐を夫がひっぱったら切れてしまって、ファンが止まらなくなった。
ブレーカーを落として開いてみるも、どうも修理できなさそう。
わー、こんな造りなのか、なんだか寂しい。
せめて直せるくらいの製品をつくってほしいけれど、安く売るってことはこういうことかなと思う。
夜には涼しくなってくれたけれど、来週には４２度という文字が見えている。
