Saturday.

I woke up 5:30 and watered the garden.

It was smokey and cloudy.

The wildfire app keeps bleeping last few days.

With two rainy nights, eggplants got really big.

Cucumbers are also doing well.

Winter squash is late, and tomatoes are still green.

I started shokupan and did two load of laundry.

Then worked on potting up and sow some new seeds.

Dan made tacos for lunch.

As usual, it’s really good.

Dan took a nap, but I got up and worked on my plants.

While they were evacuating from heat, some of seedlings got leggy.

Hope they will bounce back.

After finished my project, I retreated into the cooled bedroom.

We listened to baseball and took it easy.

I did Dan’s haircut.

I did some writing in the afternoon.

Dan checked the grammar and I submitted it.

Baked bread.

We had leftovers for dinner.

It wasn’t too hot, and we turned off the AC by evening.

Nice relaxing weekend.

土曜日。

今日は5時半ごろ起きて水やり。

一面もやっていて煙たい。

昨日から山火事のアラートが鳴りっぱなしなので心配だ。

先日の雨で、ナスの苗がふたまわりくらい大きくなった気がする。

キュウリも元気。

かぼちゃたちは遅れを取っているけれどここから大きくなるといいな。

トマトはどんどん実をつけ始めているけれど、まだどれも青い。

食パンを仕込んで、洗濯を2回まわす。

苗の鉢上げと、さらに種まき。

お昼は夫がタコスをつくってくれた。

相変わらずおいしい。

夫はお昼寝していたけれど、わたしは起き上がって、鉢上げの続き。

暑くて日陰に避難している間に、苗たちがひょろっとしてしまった。

ここから元気に育ってくれるといいけれど。

作業を終えて室内へ。

野球中継を聞いたりしながらのんびりする。

夫の散髪をする。

午後少し書き物。

夫に添削してもらって提出。

食パンを焼く。

夜ごはんは残り物で済ます。

今日はそんなに暑くなかったので、夕方にはクーラーを消した。

ゆったりしていい週末だった。
