Woke up late, around 8? I did water my garden, and went back to bed.
Little bit hungover.
M came to continue working on the electricity, around 10. It was getting hotter.
I was not much help.
One of the ex owners came to greet us.
We managed to hook up the electricity, and then we had to get more parts.
So Dan and I went two hardware stores to find the exact one.
On the way, we stopped by the recycle center.
Unlike New York, here you have to bring your recycles. And they open three days a week. So we had been missing it. And today we finally made it there.
There, I met the lady I kept buying seeds and seedlings. As she was not at the farmer's market last Thursday, I was afraid that she was done for this year, but it seemed like she will come back.
Then we bought pizza, put all my baby basil leaves on top.
Yum.
I picked some apricot to give to M’s family.
We went to the rental to take shower and do the laundry.
Then went to M’s for dinner.
Today was his birthday, so M’s family, and their friends and us all went to a restaurant in the town. It was much better than we expected.
After back to M’s and chatted and eating cake, we went back home, and slept well.
ゆっくり起きる。
水やりだけすましてのんびりしていた。
ちょっと二日酔い。
Mが１０時過ぎに来て続きをする。昨日よりもしっかり暑い。
パイプやら配線やら、この辺は全然手伝えない。
途中で、前の持ち主のひとりが挨拶に来てくれた。
なんとか、配線も全部終わってつなげて、それから小さなパーツが必要とのことでそこでいったん終わり。夫と二人であちこち回って探す。
途中でリサイクルセンターへ。ここはニューヨークと違って、リサイクルを持って行ってくれないから、地元の人が始めたセンターへ自分で持っていく仕組み。
そこで、ファーマーズマーケットでいつも種や木の苗を買う女の人に会えた。一昨日はいなかったから、今年はもう終わりなのかと心配していたんだ。でも寝坊しちゃっただけらしい。よかった。
ピザを買って、お庭のバジルをたくさん載せて食べる。おいしい。
アプリコットを収穫して、M家にお裾分けする。
地下室へ行ってシャワーと洗濯。
それからM家へ。今日はMの誕生日だから、もうひとつの家族と、１０人で外でお祝いしに行った。町のレストランというかバー。予想よりもおいしかった。
M家でおしゃべりしてケーキ食べて、帰っておやすみ。
今日も盛り沢山だった。
