yuko's diary 7/12/26

Sunday.

I overslept little, but it was not hot and that helped a lot.

After watering, I added carrots, cucumber, and daikon seeds.

Harvested onions and set to dry them on the deck.

I was too busy worrying about gopher eating them, I didn’t fertilize them enough.

I wanted to trim tomatoes but it was too hot already.

Started rye bread and sourdough.

Dan made pasta for lunch.

With soy sausage and tomato sauce.

Lots of basil too.

After Dan left for work, I did laundry.

Today I washed bedding.

I redid some of seeds that was in winter sowing box.

It must be too hot to germinate, so I moved them in north side of house.

While writing a letter, I baked bread.

Some more writing.

Did my workout before it got too hot.

I got sweaty anyway.

Ate red cabbage salad and eggs.

Worked on my reading log.

Now that I looked back diary, there are still few books left. Hmm.

It was not hot in the evening so I went out to work.

Trimmed tomato leaves, weeding.

I was outside like two hours.

It was really really nice.

Hope it will stay this way, but I know it will be in high 90s this week.

I enjoyed nice evening.

Took a bath.

When Dan came home, we had herb tea together.

日曜日。

今日も少し寝坊。

でも涼しいので助かった。

水やりの後、ニンジン、キュウリとダイコンの種を追加する。

タマネギを収穫して、軒下で干す。

ホリネズミに食べられないようにするのに気を取られすぎて、肥料を充分あげなかったので、大きくならず。

トマトの剪定もしたかったけれど、もう暑かった。

ライ麦パンとサワードウを仕込む。

お昼は夫がパスタをつくってくれた。

大豆ソーセージ入りのトマトソース。

お庭のバジルをたっぷりかけて。

夫を見送って洗濯。

今日はシーツとブランケットを洗う。

外のボックスに植えた種が暑さでなかなか発芽しないので、涼しい場所に移動してもう一度やってみる。

パンを焼きながら手紙を1通。

事務仕事。

涼しいうちにワークアウトをしてしまう。

それでも汗をかいた。

紫キャベツのナムル、目玉焼きで晩ごはん。

リーディングログの整理の続き。

古い日記の見返しは終わったのに、3、4冊もれている。

うーん。図書館の貸し出し記録とつき合わせてみよう。

夕方、涼しいので外に出てみる。

太陽はまだきついけれど、どんどん日陰になっていく。

トマトの剪定、草引き。

2時間ほどずっと外にいた。

うわー、ひさしぶり、この感じ。

夜も涼しい。

明日から1週間ほど酷暑の予報なので、ありがたさを噛み締める。

半身浴。

夫が帰宅して一緒にハーブティーを飲んだ。
