yuko's diary 7/12/24

Friday.

Dan went to work.

I started with watering the garden.

There were two young deers walking along the garden.

Didn’t care about me.

I tried to scare them, but didn’t work well.

They should be scared of humans.

I worked on homepage, put the new pillow case and sheet, and did laundry.

Then I did indigo dying.

I must have put too much clothes this time, it didn’t turn deep color. Hmm.

It got hot quickly.

When I went to put my letter to the mail box, it was so hot.

But the hottest time of the day was short today.

And that made a big difference.

Dan came home around 3.

I was having headache and maybe dehydrated? 

I need to be careful when I stay inside house too.

We watched baseball, ate quesadilla that Dan made.

I finished pouch for my niece.

It cooled down quickly, and we opened the window.

But I was hot whole night.

There was no wind and that made a lot of difference.

金曜日。

夫は仕事へ。

今日も水やりから。

若いシカが2頭、ひょこひょこっと歩いてきた。

思わず声が出たけれど、1頭は逃げて、1頭はちょっと木陰に移動しただけ。

人間を怖がらないのは、危ないよ、と思う。

ホームページの作業をしつつ、シーツと枕カバーを交換し、洗濯。

それから藍染めを。

ちょっと欲張りすぎたのか、全体に薄くなってしまった。

葉が育ったらもう一度染めてみよう。

どんどん気温が上がる。

お昼過ぎ、手紙を投函しに行ったら暑くてびっくりした。

でも今日は少しだけまし。

暑い期間が短かった。

夫は3時ごろ帰宅。

わたしは頭痛がして横になっている時だった。

水分はちゃんととっていたのにな。

少し涼しいからといって油断できない。

野球を見てのんびりして、夫がつくってくれたケーサディーヤを食べる。

ポーチを仕上げた。

このまま送るか、中に何か入れて送るか考え中。もうあまり時間もないけれど。

涼しくなったので、窓を開けて寝たけれど、風が全くないので汗をかいた。

夏だなぁ。
