I woke up early to water the garden.
Then when I went back to bed, I heard the rain.
nooo.
They changed weather forecasts entirely.
From sunny warm day to cloudy with shower day.
I had coffee, and went outside.
Chopping alfalfa and made mulch.
Then I realized that I could transplant without waiting.
So i did. Rest of peppers and eggplant.
Now I’m done transplanting all the seedlings.
We went to the farmer’s market.
Got tamale, and we saw Mariah.
It’s been a while.
I bought golden currant from her.
I was glad that I could tell her that all of plants from her are doing great.
After eating tamales, we had little rest.
Then I woke up to plant golden currant.
It likes half shade and moist place.
So I planted them by the creek.
Next to golden willows.
It’s all golden now.
Went to the saw mill to get bark.
I use them as mulch around trees.
I thought I’d finish there, somehow, I continued.
I did some weeding in the garden.
There’s area without mulch and it’s covered with weeds.
I like weeding, but if I have to do this, I will hate it.
So i do this only when I feel like it.
Dan made hotdogs for dinner.
We watched Mission Impossible 4.
It’s so stupid, I liked it.
I can’t get over the fact that IMF stands for Impossible Mission Force.
朝早めに起きて水やり。
その後おふとんに戻ってうとうとしていたら、なんと雨がポツポツ。
えー、水やりしなくてよかったやん！
天気予報が大きく変わって、晴れで暑い日から、曇り時々雨の肌寒い日に。
起きあがってコーヒー。
外に出て、アルファルファを摘んで刻んで、マルチにする。
それから、こんな天気なら、早目の時間でも植え替えできるなと気づく。
残りのペッパー類と、ナスを植え替えた。
これですべての苗の植え替えが終わり。
あとはちょこちょこ足したりするだけで、お日様にお任せ。
お昼過ぎにファーマーズマーケットへ。
いつものタマレを買う。
マライアがいた。
しばらく見ていなかったのでうれしい。
ゴールデン・カラントを２株購入。
去年購入した植物たちはみんな元気にしていることも伝えられてよかった。
タマレをたべた後、少し休憩したけれど、
起き上がってゴールデン・カラントを植樹。
半日陰の、湿ったところ、とのことで、小川のそばの、ヤナギの並びに植えた。
このヤナギはゴールデン・ウィロウ。
ゴールデンな並木ができそう。
お隣の木工所へいって、樹皮をもらってくる。
それを砕いて、マルチの代わりにして出来上がり。
ここで終わろうかなと思ったけれど、
なぜか土をもっと触りたくて、草引きをすこし。
お庭のマルチがないところは雑草が多い。
草引きそのものは好きな作業だけれど、ぜんぶ取らないと、と思うとしんどいから、
気が向いた時にだけやる。
「雑草」なんて人間が勝手に決めたもので、どの草も役割があると思うし。
夜は夫がホットドックをつくってくれて食べた。
ミッション・インポッシブル４がネットフリックスにあがっていたので見る。
オリジナルは１９９６年か～！
組織の名前が、IMFで、それはインポッシブル・ミッション・フォースの略だということに毎回爆笑してしまう。
