Woke up 6. Packed up and left 8 am.
The road was again with nothing on the both side.
Then as soon as we got to Idaho, it got so mountainy...!
Everyone is going on 80 miles/hour, even with switch backs...
"Welcome to Ohio" sign has a lot of bullet wholes. Omg.
Stopped at Spokane Washington, as we thought Chase bank there was the nearest to us.
(But later we found out that there's another one much nearer to us.)
After there, the road became one lane, and so peaceful.
It was like a total different country.
I really loved the scenery very much.
Into Okanogan County, the road got mountains again.
It made us nervous. That fact that our cross country trip will end today, and also that our new life will start.
Right after the long signal sign, we finally made it to Tonasket.
The house and tree were all there.
So surreal.
We checked everything, and Dan's friend came over.
We talked everything, and then after while we went to the town.
Found co-op, it was so great. If you pay $50, you are member for life.
Bought some food, and back to the property, and ate outside.
He rented us RV, so we set it up, and then went his house to have dinner with his family.
Wow.
What a day.
End and new chapter of our life.
６時に起きる。
さっと詰め込んで、８時ちょうどに出発。
出た瞬間、道の両脇は何もなかった。やっぱりモンタナすごいな〜。
でもアイダホに入った瞬間、山！！
すごかった。
みんな１２０キロくらいで走るし、そこまで急ではないものの、カーブは続くしで。
オハイオに入った瞬間に標識があったのだけど、銃痕で穴ぼこだらけだった。
みんなピストルで打つらしい。山の頂上で、スピード出しながら？！わー、なんてこった。
ワシントン州に入って、スポケーンというところで一旦止まる。
一番近い銀行の支店がここだったので、寄っていくことに。
でも後で、もっともっと近くにあることが分かったのだけど。
その後は州間高速から下りて、州道になる。
１レーンののどかな道。
どこまでも続いていく畑が両側に続いていて、夢かな？って思った。
すごく好きだった。
オカノガン郡に入ってすぐ道がまた山になる。
なんだか昨日から緊張している。
今日で本当にこの旅が終わるんだ、ということと、
新しい生活が始まるんだということがあまりうまくのみこめない。
無事に着くことばかり考えてたから。
この旅で全然音楽を聞かなかった。少し歌ったり話したりしたけど、基本的にそれぞれ考えごとをしていた。
最後の最後で、工事をしていて長い信号に捕まる。
それを超えたら、ついにトナスケット。
ついた！
家も、木もある。
嘘みたい。
いろいろチェックしてから、夫の友達に連絡する。
来てくれて、いろいろ話した後、ちょっと町を見に行く。
コープがある。
５０ドルで一生メンバーになれて、いろいろディスカウントがあるとのことで、
オーガニックのものもたくさん揃っていてとてもいい感じ。
サンドイッチなど少し買って、お庭で食べた。
その後夫の友達が、キャンピングカーを持ってきてくれる。
家が直るまでここで生活する。
おうちにお呼ばれしてご飯。
わぁ、なんて日かしら。
