yuko's diary 6/4/26

Thursday.

I worked in Brewster.

Woke up 5, and left house at 6.

There was a wildfire close to the hospital, and it was bigger than I expected.

I’m so glad it stopped.

It was busy in the morning, but then a big gap in lunch time.

I went for an hour long walk and visited the library for the first time.

It was tiny but very clean and cute.

Finding my favorite book on shelf is my favorite.

Jumped on the 3pm bus.

There was another fire on the way, and we had to take a detour.

The fire season is coming.

While waiting for the next bus, I talked with my friend in Japan.

It’s been a while since last time I speak this much.

It is so easy and fun to speak your own language, I don’t have to think, really.

It was little past 6 when I got home.

I ate a quick dinner and rested while but fell asleep.

Watered only seedlings and did my workout.

I worked very well this week.

Couldn’t wait for Dan to come home.

木曜日。

今日はブリュースターでの仕事。

5時に起きて、6時に家を出る。

少し前に山火事があったのが病院のすぐ近くなのだけど、行ってみたら大きさにびっくりした。

無事に鎮火してよかった。

朝少しバタバタっとしたけれど、お昼にたっぷり空き時間があった。

1時間ほど歩きに出る。

町まで降りて、図書館に初めて行ってみた。

すごく小さいけれど、リノベーション直後なのか、とてもきれい。

好きな本が棚にあるのを見つけるとうれしい。

3時のバスに乗って帰路に着く。

途中で火事のために迂回させられた。

うーん、今年は雪が少なかったから火事が怖いな。

待ち時間に日本の友達とひさしぶりに電話。

ひさしぶりに日本語をたくさん話した気がする。

がんばらずにわかりあえるって楽だな〜。

帰宅したら6時過ぎ。

さっと晩ごはんを食べて、ちょっと横になったら寝ていた。

苗にだけ水やりして、ワークアウト。

今週もよく働いた。

夫が帰宅する前に寝ていた。
