yuko's diary 6/26/24

Wednesday.

It was supposed to be cool day, but I watered lightly and checked the damage.

I walked to work.

It was not too busy nor too slow.

There was a cancellation after lunch, so we went for a long walk.

On the way to high school, I saw a white truck coming towards us.

It looked so familiar, and the driver was wearing white shirts…

It was Dan and his college.

I waved and he honked back.

It was few seconds but nice moment.

We walked around the truck until we saw a rainy clouds coming towards us.

For some reason I couldn’t concentrate on reading.

Well, that’s ok.

It was rainy, and sunny, and never staple.

I was done little after 4, and Dan came to pick me up.

We stopped at co-op, and got lentil curry soup for me.

Mets was again playing against Yankees.

We were not expected them to win.

But they did.

Wow.

The sky and light was so beautiful so we went out to take photos.

Saige followed us until she got bored and left.

Few minutes later, I heard the thunder and it was stormy.

Whoa, what a weird weather.

水曜日。

今日は涼しい予報だったけれど、昨日の夕方すごい日差しだったので、様子を見ながら少しだけ水やり。

歩いて仕事へ。

今日も忙しくもなく、でもお昼にキャンセルが出て、昨日よりは余裕があった。

お昼を食べたあと、長めに歩きにいけた。

メインストリートを歩いていると、見慣れた白いトラックが向かってくる。

もしかして。あ、今朝来て行った白いシャツだ！と思って手を振る。

夫と同僚がフードバンクへ食品の配達に向かう途中だった。

夫も気づいてクラクションを鳴らしてくれた。

ここまで数秒だったけど、なんだかとてもうれしかった。

高校まで登って、競技用トラックをぐるぐる4周する。

山の向こうに雨雲が見えたので撤収。降り始める前に戻れた。

この二日はなんとなく読書に集中できなかった。

ミッドライフクライシスの場面だったからだろうか。

まぁいいや、そういう時もある。

天気が崩れて雨が降ったり止んだり。

またさぁっと晴れたり。

ぐずる、という感じの天気。

4時半ごろ終わって夫に迎えにきてもらう。

コープに寄ったら、今日はレンティルのカレースープだった。迷わず購入。

今日もメッツはヤンキースと対戦。

まぁ、続けて勝ったりしないだろうとなんとなく見ていたらまたどんどん打ってびっくり。

光がとってもきれいで、夫とお庭を散歩してまわる。

セージもついてきていたけれど、気がついたらいなくなっていた。自由でいいな。

ゴロゴロいうなと思って外を見るとあっという間に黒雲に覆われている。いつの間に！

カミナリはあまり得意じゃない。

怖いというより、驚かされるから。

ザァっと降るかなとちょっと期待したけれど、ポツポツで終わり。

終始変な天気のいちにちだった。
