Tried to flatten the same area.
There were many branches, half burned.
Digging is so fun.
Dan called me, and there were four deers right next to him.
They were not scared at all.
M told us they came to rest under the tree, so they must be disappointed.
Wow, they are big and beautiful.
I stopped around 10, Dan made us coffee, and some breackfast.
Toast, yellow tomato, cucumber, and mulberries.
I went back to the gerden, and tried to even the ashes and soil out.
It might be too ashy... hmm
We assembled the glass table which we brought from NY.
I wrote some postcards.
We were supposed to go get some building stuff, but it was postponed.
Instead, we went to Midway where they have many serious stuff. We bought many things.
As requested, we bought Thai food for M’s family and us, and went there for early dinner.
This Thai restaurant is coming to Tonasket every Friday. They are so popular.
I also bought organic potato to plant. Hope it will work out.
We visited them around 5, and had dinner, and did puzzule.
When we came back home, it was still hot. We put AC on, but it wasn’t working so well.
We lay down on the floor.
I didn’t sleep that well.
６時に起きた。
昨日と同じ場所を平らにしようといろいろとやってみる。
半分焦げたような枝がたくさん出てきた。
土を掘るのはなんでこんなに楽しいのかな～。
夫が呼ぶから何かと思って見たら、すぐ隣の庭に鹿が！
１５メートルくらい先にいた。
４頭、逃げるでもなく、じっとこちらを見ていた。
しっぽが白い種類の鹿。
わたしたたちが越してくる前は、うちのくるみの木の下で涼んていたみたいだから、様子を見にきたのだろう。
悠々と歩いていった。
１０時ごろ一旦ストップして、夫が用意してくれた朝ごはん。
コーヒー、トースト、昨日買ったきゅうりとトマト、桑の実。
もう少しやりたくてまた庭へ。
ちょっとやっぱり灰が多いから今年は無理かもしれないと思う。でも雑草も、虫もたくさんいるから大丈夫かもしれない。
アルカリを中和してくれる植物ってなんだろうな～。
ニューヨークから持ってきたテーブルをサンルームに組み立てた。なんだかどっしりする。いい感じ。
引越しのハガキの追加分を少し出す。
今日は資材の買い出しに行くつもりだったけれど延期。
ふたりで大きめのホームセンターへ。いろいろ買う。
リクエストされたタイ料理の持ち帰りを買って早めにM家にいった。
このタイ料理屋さんは、いろんな町を日替わりでめぐっているらしく、ここは金曜日にカルチャーセンターでオープンするみたい。すごい人気だった。
待っている間にポテトを買う。種芋ではなく、普通に食べるオーガニックのポテトで増やしてみようと思う。
５時前にはM家にいって、食べた後、パズルをしたりする。シャワーも借りた。
帰宅したのが何時ごろだったかな、まだ暑くて、ジェネレーターを動かしてクーラーを入れる。一日ずっと入れなかったから、なかなか冷えなくて、床にシーツを敷いて横になっていた。
ようやく眠れたのは結構遅くになってからだったと思う。
しばらく大変だなー。
