Woke up 6:30, and started working on the garden.
There is this spot there ex owner burned a lot of woods and stuff.
It looked like a pile of dirt, and the weed was growing on it, but after I pulled and cut weeds,
the soil was actually rich.
So I started thinking to make my second garden.
It might work!
After 4 hours of work, I made coffee.
And took a nap while Dan went to a quick shopping.
He came back and talked some friends and families over the phone.
We went to get sandwiches around 2, and then found out that today is the day that they have farmer’s market in the town.
So we stopped by, and bought yellow tomato, cucumber, mulberry, and some plants for garden.
Red willow and valrerian. They are from local farm and I liked it a lot.
Back home, ate lunch. Today was not too hot, plus the wind was helpful.
I dig the hole for the plants. Hope it will work.
Went to M’s house little earlier as they were having a small gathering.
We joined them, and had dinner, did laundry, and took shower.
We were able to sleep without the AC, and it was very nice.
６時半に起きて、すぐにお庭へ。
前の住人が、端材とか枝とかを燃やしていた場所があって、燃え残りや灰が小山になっていた。その上に雑草が生えていて、でも芝刈り機は使えないので鎌で刈るつもりだったのだけど、土が柔らかくてスイスイ抜けるので勢いに乗って抜いていった。
灰やおがくずがちょうどよく混ざって、ところどころ、いい感じの土になっている。
これは、何か植えられるかもしれないな。
４時間夢中でやった後、コーヒーを入れて一服。
反対に起きてきた夫は買い出しに行った。
軽く昼寝。
起きたら夫は帰ってきていて、妹と電話していた。
２時ごろ、サンドイッチを買いに行く。ジェネレーターのガソリンも。今日はファーマーズマーケットの日だと気づいて、そのまま行ってみる。
黄トマト、きゅうり、マルベリー（桑の実）、それから苗も買った。ヴァレリアンと、柳の苗木。レッドウィロウ。ちょうど植えたいなと思っていたから嬉しかった。
ローカルの苗なところも気に入った。
戻って外でお昼。今日はだいぶ涼しい。とはいえ３０度越えだけれど。
風と雲のおかげだ。苗木用の穴を掘る。
今日は少し早めにM家へ。お友達が来ていて女子会みたいになっていた。
わたしたちも寄せてもらって、おしゃべりの傍らご飯とシャワーをいただく。洗濯もした。
今日はエアコンなしでも眠れた。
