Sunny morning. I could tell it’ll be hot.
Coffee.
I picked more lavender.
The bundle from yesterday was already getting dry.
Dan went for a run.
I was packing chamomile.
Then we picked cherry together.
Pitted, and ate with yogurt and honey.
Sour, but very good.
I worked on the door between bedroom and kitchen.
We removed the old door but didn’t cover up after that.
I liked the roughness, but we decided to cover with drywall.
I cut drywall outside, and put them in the place.
Also measured and cut the corner beads.
I am ready to mud.
This summer, I am planning to work on the windows inside.
When it’s too hot outside.
Today was the practice or rehabilitations for that.
I slowly remembered how the tools work and everything.
For me, I need to change my settings every time when I start things.
It is like a switch in my head.
When I turn the switch on, I can work smoothly.
But when it’s off, I just can’t do it.
It got hot in the afternoon.
We needed to stay out of the sun.
Dan got the bug spray for me.
My favorite natural one from co-op.
It smells good, this is my summer perfume.
Dan made quesadillas and salad.
The lettuce is getting bitter and bitter.
I planted two kinds this summer, and one is fully bolted, and the other is not.
But both are getting bitter. Interesting.
We watched “The Umbrella Academy” season 3.
I waited few years for this, so I want to watch slowly, but I don’t think I can.
今日も暑くなりそうな気配のする朝。
コーヒー。
ラベンダーを今日の分摘む。
昨日摘んだぶんはもう乾燥しはじめていた。
夫は走りに行った。
わたしはカモミールの仕分け。
それからふたりでチェリーを収獲。
種を取って、ヨーグルトとハチミツと食べる。
すっぱいけれど、ヨーグルトと同じくらいの酸味でちょうどよく食べられた。
さぁ今日は、家の中の工事に手を付ける。
寝室とキッチンの間にあったドアは取っ払って、のれんをかけている。
でもその後の処理をきちんとしていなかった。
木が剥き出しの感じもおもしろいのもあって。
でもちゃんと石膏ボードで覆うことにした。
外で切って、削って整えて、ネジでとめていく。
角に当てる、紙と薄い金属でできたものもきっていく。これは、欠けやすい角を守るためのもの。
あとはパテ埋め、というところまで一気にやってしまった。
この夏、暑い時間帯は室内で窓の仕上げをするつもりなのだけど、
今日のはそれの練習みたいなかんじ。
久しぶりに工具をさわると、感覚がもどってくる感じがする。
モードが切り替わるというか。
わたしにとっては、何をするときもこのスイッチが入ることが大事。
これが入るとすっとできる。
入らないと、とりかかれない。
お昼からは特にふたりともぐったりした。
いきなり暑くなったからかも。
夫がコープで買ってきてくれた、いつもの虫除けスプレー。
自然なものばかりで手作りのもの。
エッセンシャルオイルが何種類も入っていて、すごくいい匂いがする。
夏中わたしはこのスプレーの香りをさせている。
夕食は夫がケーサディーヤとサラダをつくってくれて食べる。
レタスが少しずつ苦くなってきたねと言いながら。
今年は２種類植えたのだけれど、ひとつはもう花がつきそうで、もうひとつは全然だ。
でもどちらも苦味が増してきた。おもしろいな。
“The Umbrella Academy” のシーズン３が出ていたので見る。
エリオット・ペイジのキャラクターが家族にカムアウトしていて、
こういうふうに、現実の俳優の変化がそのまま受け入れられて反映されるなんてすごいなと思った。
前シーズンから２年くらい待った気がするので、のんびり見たいけれど、すぐに見終わっちゃいそう。
