Summer solstice.
The sun rise before 5, and set after 9.
So it’s light out around 4 and till 10.
I walked to the work.
It was so quiet today.
I found 2 patients who shares the same birthday with me.
In the afternoon, we had this man who came to fix the computer.
He asked me about how we study English in Japan.
I told him that it’s mandatory but not for conversation.
Then he says that it’s like Spanish for Americans.
Hmmm, no not really.
Not being able to speak Spanish is not shame for American.
In the afternoon, we let open the door and had this nice sunshine.
I finished my book there.
The last part didn’t make me as emotional as the rest.
The whole book made me hungry.
We waited till 4 and left.
I stopped by the yarn store and bought 100% alpaca yarn.
At home, Saige came whining.
I guess their guest left, and now she wants our attention.
I gave her one biscuit.
Dan came home right after.
I watered the garden.
To the tree too. A lot.
It will be hot in few days and I am being cautious.
I stopped at the half and made ramen.
Fried all the vegetables we had and put kimchi too.
It was really good.
We fell asleep hugging.
I woke up at the middle night and brush my teeth.
夏至。
5時前に日の出で、9時過ぎに日の入り。
つまり4時過ぎから明るくて、10時ごろまで明るい。
生活にはっきり影響があるような北欧とは違うけれど、やっぱり夏は早起きがらくだ。
歩いて仕事へ。
今日は打って変わって静かないちにちだった。
おもしろいのは、昨日も今日もわたしと同じ誕生日の人がいたこと。
なんとなくうれしい。
午後、機械の修理にきた人とすこしおしゃべり。
日本では英語を習うのかと聞かれて、必修科目だけれど、会話に特化していないみたいなことを話した。
そしたら、アメリカ人がスペイン語を習うけれど話せないみたいな感じかなというけれど、うーーーん、ちょっと違うな。
アメリカ人はスペイン語話せなくて恥ずかしいみたいなこと全くないもの。
午後、バンの扉を開けて、ひさしぶりの太陽を浴びながら本を最後まで読み切った。
最後のパートは落ち着いて読めた。
1冊を通して食べ物の描写があって、ずっとお腹がすいていた。
4時ごろまで待機してあがる。
糸を紡ぎながら対応してくれる毛糸のお店に寄る。
このあたりでとれた？アルパカ100％の毛糸を購入。
帰宅するとセージがわんわん言いながら着いてきた。
最近までいた親戚が帰っちゃったのか、また遊びにくる頻度が増えた気がする。
ビスケットをあげて一緒に散歩。
夫もすぐに帰宅。
お庭の水やりを。
木にもしっかり、たっぷり。
またここから気温が上がるようなので、この、急に変化する時は注意が必要。
半分くらいで切り上げて、ラーメンをつくる。
残り物の野菜をぜんぶ炒めて載せた。
おいしい。
あとはもうのんびりして、気づいたらひっついたまま寝ていた。
真夜中はさすがに暗い。
歯を磨いてまたベッドへ。
