Friday.
We woke up slowly, and then took everything easy.
We were still in shock, and was trying to process.
Coffee.
I made it to outside, and mowed the lawn.
Dan told me I drive the mower too fast.
Yes, I want to save gas money.
Then I used the weed wacker.
Perfect.
We decided to go to the Iron Grill for lunch.
We had the usual.
There were many big cowboys with same types of baseball cap and sunglasses.
It was really interesting.
An old cowboy with sleeveless shirts and suspender was the coolest one.
Back home, we took it very easy.
Watching Instagram reels and laughed together.
We were healing together.
Then in the evening, I went out to water the garden.
At the half way, the same deputy from last night came,
he wanted to ask some more question.
Dan came out and we talked little bit.
The dinner was tomato sauce pasta.
Very simple and very good.
I found the log of county sheriff office online.
It was so interesting.
In NY, those things happens everyday, but no one call police.
Here, people call the sheriff over cows, dogs, noise, lost key, disagreement, and more.
I was fascinated by people’s life.
It was little bit like how I meet people briefly on my job.
I love human life.
金曜日。
のんびり起きて、まださらにのんびりしていた。
昨日の衝撃をゆっくり吸収しているかんじ。
コーヒー。
えいっと起き上がって、芝刈り機をかける。
ガソリンを節約したいので、わたしはかなりスピード運転。
そのあと、小型の草刈機も。こちらはバッテリー式。
スプリンクラーを設置して、ひといき。
もうお昼で、さぁどうしようとなって、外食にした。
いつものレストランへ。
ちょうどお昼休みなのか、屋外で働いている風の男性が多い。
みんな、Tシャツにジーンズ、後ろがメッシュの野球帽をかぶって、その上にサングラスを載せている。
これがドレスコードなのかなと思うくらい。
ひとり、白いお髭で、袖なしのチェックのシャツにサスペンダーのおじさんがいて、いちばんかっこよかった。
帰宅して、今日はもうのんびりに徹する。
ベッドでゴロゴロして、インスタでコメディやおもしろい動画を一緒に見て笑う。
ひっついて笑うことですごく回復する感じ。
夕方、水やりに出る。
半分くらいのとこで、昨夜の警官に声をかけられる。
報告と様子見に来てくれたそう。
夫も出てきてすこしだけ話す。
夜はトマトソースのパスタ。
シンプルでおいしい。
郡警察の1週間分の活動報告が公開されているのを見つけたので読む。
日時、大体の場所と、何があったのかが2、3行で報告されている。
いわゆる犯罪もあるけれど、多くは犬や牛のこと、交通事故、遺失届、騒音問題、カップルの喧嘩など。
NYでは警察を呼ばないようなことばかり。（警察の質も組織体系も全く違うからか）
簡略化された文体の妙と相まって、ときどきすごく興味深いものもあり、しばらく夢中で読んだ。
高齢の住民をパトカーに乗せて送りとどけた、なんて1行の報告も。
この報告書は、病院の仕事でひとときだけ誰かと関わるのに似ている。
誰かの人生を少しだけ知る。
ひとって、人生って、ほんとうにおもしろい。
