Tuesday.

I worked at the usual hospital.

When I got there, the trailer was so hot.

I lashed outside and started chiller.

We made it day without canceling scans.

I went for a quick walk after lunch.

It’s summer.

I couldn’t stay outside too long.

Started new book.

“Kin” by Tayari Jones.

The story is located in Louisiana in 1950s.

I was not familiar with the way people talk, but it’s easy to read anyway.

The last scan took time, and it was before 5 when I was done.

I stopped at co-op and walked home.

I ate pizza that Dan left for me.

Did my workout.

I went out to water the garden little past 7.

The sun was still high, but it cooled down a bit.

Some plants got heat damage. Oh no.

I watered whole garden deeply.

Then took a hot bath.

That helped a lot and I slept better.

火曜日。

いつもの病院で仕事。

着いたら、トレイラーの中がものすごい暑い。

急いでチラーを動かす。

止まることなくスキャンができたからよかった。

お昼の後で少しだけ歩きに出る。

もうしっかり夏日で、長いこと外にいられない。

今日から新しい本。

Tayari Jones 著、“Kin”

1950年代のルイジアナ州が舞台。

主な登場人物はBlackの人たち。

会話文の言い回しが慣れないところもあるけれど、総じて読みやすい。

最後のスキャンが長引いて、終わったら5時前だった。

コープに寄って歩いて帰る。

夫が置いていってくれたピザで晩ごはん。

ワークアウトする。

7時すぎにお庭へ。

まだ日差しが高いけれど、うっすら涼しくなっている。

暑くて萎れてしまったものも。

たっぷり時間をかけて水やり、終わったら9時過ぎていた。

それから半身浴。

アレルギーの症状は毒だし。

湯たんぽも入れる。おかげで夜はよく眠れた。
