Thursday.

Woke up early and went to work in Brewster.

The sun comes up before 5 now, so it’s not too bad.

As usual, there was a big gap in lunch time.

So I off to walk and when I came back, my colleague was almost scanning.

They added one patient and didn’t tell us.

Oops.

I jumped on the 3pm bus and went to the library.

Kept reading my book.

It was about Jeju Uprising and also little about Gwangju Uprising like last book.

To be honest, they were mingled together in my memory.

And also they are similar in a way and connected.

But Jeju Uprising is severe in the sense that people had suffered a lot longer after.

The friend of the main character, whose parents are survivors.

It’s not long forgotten past.

When I got home, I found flower and a letter from Dan.

It was for the 5th anniversary.

Alstroemeria.

He also made pasta sauce and pasta.

It was a great surprise.

After dinner, I rest a bit and did my workout.

No watering today.

Waited for Dan to come home.

We couldn’t fell asleep for some reason.

木曜日。

早起きしてブリュースターへ行く日。

朝早くから明るいので、早起きもそんなに苦じゃない。

いつも通り、朝早くと午後遅めに詰まっていて、お昼に大きな空き時間がある。

歩きに出て戻ったら、同僚がスキャンを始めるところだった。

あらま。

昨日追加されて連絡がうまく伝わらなかったらしい。

申し訳なかった。

3時に終えてバスに飛び乗る。

図書館でも、バス停でも読書を続ける。

済州島4・3事件の話で、前回は光州事件についてだったので、重なるところが多いし、繋がっている。

正直言って、混同して記憶していたのだけど、済州島は特にその後の弾圧やすごく苦しい。

主人公の友達の親がサバイバーとして描かれる。

遠い過去の話ではない。

帰宅したら夫が花束と手紙を置いておいてくれた。

5周年のお祝い。

薄い黄緑のアルストロメリア。

短く切って、葉っぱを取っていけなおす。

パスタも作っておいてあった。

美味しくいただいた。

食後ちょっと休んでからワークアウト。

もう遅いので水やりはパス。

本を読んで夫の帰りを待つ。

その後なぜか二人とも寝付けなかった。
