yuko's diary 5/9/25

Friday.

I woke up 5, and couldn’t go back to sleep.

Coffee.

I took shower.

I started shokupan, and started laundry.

Then, went outside to mow, but the battery was up, and the starter’s battery was also up.

So I gave up and did weeding instead.

Dan made bacon, arugula, cheese sandwich for lunch.

The new sourdough was delicious.

Dan went for work.

The farmer he’s helping suggested that we will exchange my bread to his eggs.

So I made Dan bring one shokupan for him.

I cleaned the room, and I wanted to do one thing.

I suspect that ants are coming up from back of cabinets.

I don’t know how to move the center one which has big electric cords and water pipes.

But I could move the side one, and seal the back of it.

It was a lot of work.

I put everything back to where it was, and started making dinner.

Using last night’s soup, I made fried rice.

Dan came home on time, and we added arugula and it was good.

Dan brought home the bread, so he texted him.

He came to pick up, and so I gave him the new one.

We watched baseball.

Dan’s friend who went through heart surgery called him.

He couldn’t remember my name, and said Nokia.

Hahaha

I have a list of wrong name called and the best one so far was ukulele.

Now it might be tie or new one won.

We stayed up later than yesterday, but I went to bed early enough.

金曜日。

5時過ぎに目が覚めて眠れないので起きる。

コーヒー。

シャワーを浴びる。

食パンを仕込んで、洗濯を回す。

外に出て、芝刈り機に乗ろうとしたけれど、バッテリーが上がっている。

ジャンプスタートをする小さな機械のバッテリーも上がっているので諦める。

お庭の草引き。

夫が早めのお昼にベーコン、ルッコラ、チーズのサンドイッチをつくってくれた。

昨日焼いたカンパーニュがおいしい。

夫はまた手伝いに駆り出されて出掛けていった。

手伝っている人はわたしのパンを気に入って、卵と交換してくれることになったので、夫に食パンを持たせる。

部屋を片付けて、今日はやってみたいことがあった。

どうもアリがキッチンキャビネットの裏から入ってくるようなので、キャビネットを動かして、壁との間を埋める。

これがなかなか大変だった。

真ん中に水道があって、ここの裏が一番怪しいのだけど、これが動かせない。

洗面台を取らないとダメなのかな。

とりあえず今日は食器を入れているキャビネットを動かして、その裏の隙間を埋めた。

ついでに冷蔵庫の裏も。

それから全部元に戻して、晩ごはんに取り掛かる。

残りのベーコンをカリカリに焼いて、昨日のスープの具を使って、チャーハンにする。

べちょっとしたけれど、味は美味しい。

ちょうど帰宅した夫と、ルッコラを乗せて食べた。

夫はカバンに入れていた食パンを持って帰ってきてしまった。

連絡すると取りに来てくれるらしい。

ちょうど新しく焼き上がった方を渡せて良かった。

野球を見て、のんびりする。

夫の知り合いが心臓の手術をしていたのだけど、1週間以上たってようやく連絡が取れるようになって、電話してくれた。

わたしの名前が思い出せず、ノキア？と言われたのには笑った。

ユキ、ヨーコ、ニコなど、これまでいろいろ間違えられてきたけれど、これは新しい。

これまでで一番おかしかった、ウクレレを超えたか同点か。

（英語の発音はウではなくユクレレなので、まぁわからなくもない？）

昨日より遅くまで起きていたけれど、10時までには寝たと思う。
