Tuesday.
Work day.
I moved all seedlings into shade before I walked to work.
Today I worked with Mike who used to work at this hospital for 16 years.
So he went through lots of stuff.
It went very smooth.
I could read my book today.
It’s written with this very textbook like way, so it was hard to concentrate, but today one chapter got me.
It was about permculture.
The permculture was started by a white Austlailian which I knew, but I didn’t know that he lived with Indigenous people there and that was how he leaned how to live with nature.
The author criticized that it is a steal.
And I agree.
I still like their idea, but I think they made mistake how to use their knowledge.
I was done around 4pm, and Dan came to pick me up.
Saige was waiting us on our front yard.
According to Dan, she leaned that if Dan left home after he came back, which means he will bring Yuko home. haha
Dan brought home some home grown asparagus which he got at work.
He grilled with butter, garlic and black pepper.
It was so so good.
We also had cracker, celery, fig spread, and goat cheese.
While watching Mets game.
They were loosing 7 to 1, but fought back to 7 to 6.
Then lost. It was too bad, but nice try.
We watched a movie called “The Mauritanian” which I wanted to watch for a long time.
I stopped as Dan fell asleep.
Will watch rest of it later.

お仕事の日。
出かける前に苗をすべてポーチへ移動しておく。
今日はマイクと。
忙しい病院で16年働いていたとあって、動じない感じが頼もしいのだけれど、
背がわたしより少し低いくらいで圧迫感がなくてよい。
スムーズに進んだ。
読書を進める。
教科書的口調でなかなか入り込みにくいけれど、今日読んだ箇所ではっとしたところがあった。
パーマカルチャーについて。
パーマカルチャーはオーストラリアの白人が提唱し始まったことは知っていたけれど、
アボリジニの先住民族のひとたちと暮らして、そこで学んだ知恵を元にしていることは知らなかった。
著者はそれは文化の盗用ではないか、と主張する。
確かに、パーマカルチャーが知られることによって実際の利益（公式インストラクター養成のクラス授業料など）を得るのはアボリジニのひとたちではない。
パーマカルチャーそのものには惹かれるけれど、いただいた知恵の扱い方を間違えているんだなと思った。
4時過ぎに終えて、夫が迎えにきてくれて帰宅。
セージがうちの前庭で待っていておかしかった。
夫が帰宅後すぐに出かける＝わたしが帰ってくると学んだらしい。
夫の職場のひとが自家製のアスパラガスをわけてくれたので、にんにくバターと黒胡椒で炒めて食べる。
うわーと声が出るくらいおいしかった。
残りはいちじくスプレッドとゴートチーズ、クラッカー、セロリ、などなど。
つまみながらいただいた。
メッツの試合を見ながら。
7対1で負けていたところから、7対6まで巻き返したけれど、9回表であっさり負けてしまった。あーあ。
夜、気になっていた映画の”The Mauritanian” がNetflixに来ていたので見始める。
グアンタナモ・ベイで実際に起こった話。
9・11の容疑者一味とされ、審議もなにもないまま、キューバの米軍基地にいれられた北アフリカ出身の男性と、真実を求めて国に立ち向かうアメリカ人弁護士の話。
このところずっと考えていることと近い。
夫が寝落ちしたので序盤でストップ。
