It was supposed to be a cloudy day, but the sun was out in between dark clouds.
Weird weather.
Coffee.
I was not hungry, didn’t have breakfast.
I checked my gardens, and moved several seedlings into the green box.
The shower turned into rain, but stopped abruptly.
Dan was making beans.
It takes time, but I really like his beans.
He was talking to his friend over the phone, but he called me and took my hand,
brought me to the back yard.
There were 4 broken robin’s eggs on the ground.
There were no baby robins, nor parents, nor nest.
And it was not near any trees or house.
Dan’s friend said it might be the parents dropped those shells to confuse their enemies?
Hmmm.
I love robins. They are always in my garden.
For lunch, we had little bowl of beans and quesadillas.
Then we took nap.
After that, the weather was really strange.
The sunset was so strong, it killed one of my tomatoes in the box.
I watered in the herb garden.
For dinner, we had beans and chicken on the rice.
I liked it very much.
We watched little women from 1994.
Winona Ryder and Kirsten Dunst were so cute and really good.

曇りの予報だったけれど、時々黒い雲の合間から太陽が覗く不思議な天気。
コーヒー。
なんだかお腹が張っている感じがあって、朝食はパス。
お庭の様子を見て回って、苗をまた少しずつグリーンボックスに移す。
パラパラと雨が降ってきたと思ったら本格的に降り出した。
でもすぐに止んでしまう。
不安定な天気。
夫は朝からビーンズを仕込んでいた。
ブラックビーン（日本の黒豆と同ではなさそう）をじっくり炊いたのと、
ピーマン、タマネギなんかを塩コショウで炒めたものを合わせる。
カレーみたいに、次の日がいちばんおいしい料理なので多めにつくる。
友達と電話していたはずの夫が、わたしを呼びに来て、電話したまま手を引いて庭に連れていかれた。
そこには青緑の卵の殻が、割れた状態で４つも。
わー、びっくり。
ロビン（コマツグミ）の卵だ。
でも、きれいに割れた卵の周りにはなにもない。巣をかけられるような場所もない。
敵に襲われないように、殻をばらまいたんじゃないか、というのが夫の友達の推理。
無事にどこかで育っていてくれるといいけれど。
親鳥は庭にいつもいて、とことことこっと歩いては止まって、周りを見回す様子がとてもかわいらしい。
お昼は完成したてのビーンズを味見しつつ、ケーサディーヤ。
それからすこしお昼寝。
起きたら外がますます変な天気。
カッと強い西日に、グリーンボックスの中のトマトが少しやられてしまった。
もう日が沈むけれど、すこし水やりも。
夜はごはんに、ビーンズと、チキンを載せて食べた。
おいしい。
そのあと、今度は１９９４年の『little women』を見る。
ウィノナ・ライダーと、小さなころのクリスティン・ダンストがかわいらしく、
それからやっぱり演技がうまい。
夫がいくつか見たと言っていたのは誇張だったみたい。それか舞台とかかも。
映画は全部で７本で、そのうち数本は無声映画だそう。
古くから愛されているんだな。
