yuko's diary 5/31/26

Sunday.

I woke up 6 and watered the garden.

After breakfast, I started shokupan and went back to the garden.

I did weeding and sow beans here and there.

Some of them I sow last time will sprouts soon.

Dan took a day off and made us beautiful omelet.

It got so many vegetables in it, and I love it.

We watched “Rogue One” which is supposed to be right after “Andor” ended.

The same character and it made it easy to watch.

And also, it was way better than episode 2.

We also enjoy out time on hammock.

The tree is leafing out and the sun through leaves are just so stunning.

I hope I will remember this moment forever.

Saige came to ask for treat.

There was a huge monarch butterfly resting on tree by the front door.

We got so much more of them this year and it’s beautiful.

We made pasta salad for dinner.

I got lots of lettuce from the garden and we ate it all.

Then we watched episode 3.

Now I now how this “Andor” and “Rogue One” connect to episode 4.

My shallow Star Wars knowledge has completed.

The creator of “Andor” said that the reason they didn’t make it very Star Wars-ish is so that people would watch and will try franchise.

Well, we really fell into that.

Lots of resting and movies.

It was a great holiday.

日曜日。

6時に起きて水やり。

もうすでにあちこち乾燥してきている。

朝ごはんの後、食パンを仕込んでまた外へ。

草引きをして、空いたところに豆を蒔く。

先日蒔いたのはもうすぐ芽がでそう。

お昼は休みをとった夫がオムレツをつくってくれた。

具沢山でおいしい。

午後、”Andor” の後日談に当たる “Rogue One” を観る。

これは映画。

同じキャラクターが出てくるので入り込みやすかったし、昨日見たエピソード2より格段に良かった。

夕方にはハンモックに乗って揺られる。

体重の差があるので、同時に同じリズムで揺れるのは無理で、ぶつかったりもするんだけど、それも楽しい。

吊っているクルミの木の葉が出てきて、葉の間を光が透ける様子が美しくて、この光景を忘れないようにしようと思った。

セージがおやつをねだりにくる。

玄関の横のモミジに大きなアゲハ蝶が休んでいる。

今年はアゲハ蝶が多い。これは初めてのこと。

夜ごはんはパスタサラダ。

お庭のレタスを摘んで大量に入れたけれどパクリと食べられた。

夜もスターウォーズ。

今度はエピソード3。

これでようやく、”Andor”、“Rogue One”を挟んで、エピソード4、つまり一番最初に公開された映画に繋がった。

最初の三部作を一度観たきりの、わたしの浅いスターウォーズ知識が補完されて満足満足。

”Andor”の制作者が、スターウォーズっぽく作らなかった理由は、興味を持った人が一連のシリーズを観てくれるかもしれないから、とあった。

まんまとハマってしまった。

夫とたくさんのんびりして、映画を観て、たっぷり楽しい夏休みみたいな3日間だった。
