Wednesday.
I was off today.
I woke up when Dan left for work.
Coffee, banana and yogurt.
Started from watering the garden.
I saw that deer ate some tree leaves.
We haven’t seen them whole winter, so it’s been a while.
Then I mowed little bit with weed wacker and sow pumpkin seeds.
It got hotter by minutes so I took much breaks.
Also I was doing laundry of winter clothes.
I love hanging laundry outside.
In last 5 days, the yard got all green at once.
They were waiting for this moment.
I am learning a lot from them.
I then opened my summer clothes pack, and even changed.
The summer is short here, I better start early.
I realize that irrigation water pressure was low.
So I called them, and this guy came to check.
It turned out it was our fault.
As we put the filter, it clogged and made pressure low.
The river is very muddy now, so that might be the reason, he said.
This sudden heat melt snow too quickly, and now our creek is so high and muddy, and fast.
I took bath, and then washed summer white clothes.
This was my fourth laundry of the day.
During pandemic, I was doing all laundry by hand in the apartment.
Now I can use my own laundry machine.
Dan came home tired before I finish last laundry.
He was very tired.
I went to check the mail, and there was the tree seedlings I was waiting for.
I opened immediately and soak them in the water.
Will wait until Friday and plant them.
It cooled down quickly at night.
Dan fell asleep early again.
I mended his winter coat pocket.
水曜日。
今日はおやすみ。
夫が出かけるときに起きる。
コーヒー、バナナとヨーグルト。
まず水やりから。
今日は野菜のお庭だけで木の苗には水やりなしだったので早めに終わった。
ところどころ、木の葉っぱがまっすぐに切れている。
あ、これはシカの仕業、とすぐわかる。
冬の間見かけなかったのでどこにいったかなと思ったけれど暖かくなってまたうろうろしはじめたみたい。
その後、少し草刈りをして、さらにウリ科の種を植えた。
どんどん気温があがってくるので休みつつ、さらに冬物の洗濯をしつつ。
今日は洗濯機で洗えるものからどんどん洗った。
外に干せるのが気持ちいい。
午後も同じように洗濯と、お庭のことをいろいろ。
この5日ほどでいきなり緑が爆発した。
ひたすらじっと待って、その時が来たら思い切り飛び出す、みたいなこの自然のあり方にすごく学ぶところがあるなと思う。
勢いがついて、夏服も一気に出す。
そうだ、夏は短いのだから、早く着た方がいい。
夫は衣替えをしない。
上に重ねるものが減るだけだ。
なので夫の上着を洗えば、残りはいつもわたしひとりぶんだけ。
好きな服の手入れをするのはたのしい。
スプリンクラーの調子がどうも弱いなと思って、元栓をチェックしたけれどちゃんと開いている。
用水路を管理している水道局に電話したらすぐに見にきてくれた。
この春からフィルターをつけているんだけれど、どうもそれが原因だったよう。
こちらの落ち度だったけれど、気にせずいろいろと質問にも答えてくれる。
急に気温が上がって、雪解けが進んだから、川が濁流になっていてそれで詰まったんだろうということ。
うちの小川もこのところずっと濁流で流れが早い。
お風呂にもつかって、さらに夏服の白物も洗濯。
今日は洗濯機を4回まわした。
パンデミックの時はぜんぶバスルームのシンクで手洗いしていたので、ほんとありがたい。
4回目を回し終わるころに夫帰宅。
今日も疲れている。
おなかが空かないということで、ケーサディーヤをつくって先に食べる。
郵便箱をチェックしにいくと、木の苗が届いていた。
慌てて開封して水につける。
あさって涼しくなったら植えよう。
夜はぐっと涼しい。
夫は早くに寝てしまった。
夫のコートのポケットに開いた穴を繕う。
