Monday.
Dan was still talking about the fair.
I’m glad that he enjoyed it.
Coffee, and small pancake.
I did laundry.
And also I bleached those table cloth I bought yesterday.
The stain was gone.
I hang them outside to dry.
It was cloudy and not hot, so I cleaned other rows.
Those rows were for pumpkins and adzuki.
And it suddenly got cool.
I could see a misty cloud over the mountain.
Birds were flying crazy.
I knew the little storm is coming.
I got my cloth, and told Dan.
Right after we got inside, it started raining hard.
Dan cooked pork with fresh sage, and then butter and milk to make sauce.
Then he steamed cabbage in the same pan.
We ate with rice and small salad from my garden.
It was great.
Dan likes to drink fresh Bergamot tea. So I picked leaves and chamomile flower.
We had a good nap.
The rain had stopped by then.
We both worked outside again.
Then I washed my coat in bath tub and also took shower.
We had leftover lunch for dinner.
It was a nice day.
月曜日。
昨日のフェアが楽しかったみたいで夫はずっと話している。
あまり相入れないものがあるからどうかな、と思ったけれど、楽しかったならよかった。
コーヒー。小さめのパンケーキ。
洗濯機を回す。
ホーローのタライで、昨日フェアで買ったテーブルクロスと布巾を漂白した。
すこしあったシミはきれいに落ちた。
外に干す。
曇っているので、せっせと残りの畝もきれいにした。
今日のところは、アズキと、カボチャ類を植えるところ。
急に寒くなったな、と思ったら、向こうの山のあたりに、霧雨を形にしたような雲。
鳥も忙しなく飛んでいる。
ああ、これは来るな、とわかった。
外で作業をしていた夫に声をかけて、クロスも取り込んで、中にはいる。
ざっと土砂降り。
夫がポークロースを買ってきてくれたので、
それと、ごはん、お庭の野菜のサラダ、キャベツの蒸し焼き。
ポークは夫の担当。
お庭のセージを刻んで一緒に焼き、仕上げにバターとミルクでソースをつくる。
これはココナツミルクでもおいしい。
そのあとのフライパンでキャベツを蒸し焼きにしたので、キャベツにも味が移っておいしかった。
夫はベルガモットティーを気に入ったみたい。
ハーブガーデンからベルガモットの葉を数枚、それからカモミールのお花もひとつずつ。
カップに入れて、お湯をさすだけのお茶だけどおいしい。
お腹いっぱい食べて、お昼寝。
そのころには雨も止んでいた。
夕方またそれぞれに外で少し作業をして、
コートを一着バスタブで洗う。そのあと自分もシャワー。
夜はお昼の残り物を温めて。
今日も楽しかった。
