yuko's diary 5/2/24

Thursday.

Dan had to go to the hospital.

He left extra early because of the road work.

But there was no road work today. 

I cleaned the house, and did laundry.

I trimmed new pants.

Brought all plants outside and let them have sunshine.

Some of them grow much bigger during 3 days inside room.

The sun was strong, and lots of them had hard time to adjust.

I transplanted some of them, and hoped for the best.

I like the warm weather, but now it’s too warm.

Very tricky spring.

Saige was around whole day, and she was laying on the ground by my side.

She showed me her belly, so I rubbed it until she satisfied.

I cooked rice, miso soup, and cooked kale from the garden.

The second year kale is sprouting.

Those leaves are not as hard as I expected.

Dan came home little past 4.

I cooked chicken with garlic, and added mushroom that he brought home.

I cooked them with butter and soy sauce.

Very good.

We went out after dinner and walked around the garden.

Cleaned some of recycles and worked little bit.

It is so beautiful.

Nice to be out finally.

After the sun went down, it cooled down though.

We went to bed early as usual.

木曜日。

夫は病院の定期検査へ。

道路工事をやっていたからと早く出て行ったけれど、今日はなしで、予定よりだいぶ早く着いたらしい。

掃除、洗濯。

昨日とどいたズボンの裾上げ。

夫から報告を聞いてホッとする。

3日間室内に入れてあった植物たちを外へ。

ぐんと大きくなっているものもいてびっくり。

でも直射日光はつらいみたいで、すぐにくたりとなるものがすごく多かった。

様子を見つつ、植え替えもする。

藍の苗の第一弾を外に植え替え。うまく育ってくれるといいなぁ。

暖かいのはうれしいことだけれど、今度は一気に日差しがきつい。

様子を見ながら水やりを。木の苗たちも元気そうでよかった。

午後は細かい植え替えをどんどん進める。

セージはずっと外をウロウロしていて、作業中のわたしの横でゴロンと横になった。

たくさん撫でてあげる。

お腹も。お腹を撫でるのは初めてかもしれない。

気が済むまで撫でてあげた。

ご飯を炊いて、お味噌汁を仕込み、お庭のケールを炒める。

2年目のケールはもう花が満開。

菜の花みたいな、小さな黄色い花。

葉っぱは思ったより堅くならずにおいしい。

夫が帰って来たのは4時過ぎか。

解凍できた鶏もも肉をニンニクで焼いて、夫がもらってきたマッシュルームを途中で投入。

バター醤油で炒めた。

夫はキノコが苦手なのでわたしだけのためにもらって来てくれた。

おいしい～。

食後外に出てお庭の様子を見たり、片付けたり。

外にいるのが気持ちいい季節になってきた。

太陽が沈むとまだグッと冷えるけれど。

何時ごろ寝たかちょっと覚えていない。

多分いつも通り9時過ぎにお布団に入った。
