Cloudy morning.
I woke up slowly.
Coffee.
A small bird was knocking the wall so I went outside to check.
Then I found a deer nearby my compost.
There is a little tree I planted too so I tried to shoo it.
But it didn’t go far.
Coyotes are much scared.
My little aspen tree lost several leaves.
Maybe that deer did..
First I was shocked, but then I kinda know why the deer ate it.
Those leaves looks soft and yummy!
Dan went for a running.
I started sowing the seeds as I planned yesterday.
Cucumber, Swiss chard, mizuna, pak choi, shiso, gobo(burdock)
It happened to be rows with many Asian vegetables.
I added more seeds for previous rows, and watered well.
Did weed wacking too.
Before I realized it was past three!
When it’s cloudy, I could stay outside much longer.
When we checked the mailbox,
we found many things.
Book my friend sent to me, postcard, and bills.
I was worried about the water bill as I used so much for garden.
But it was not too much.
Hmm.
Dan made fried rice out of the leftovers.
Then we just cuddled.
Cuddling with him is really really nice.
We are like those cats on the internet.
曇りの朝。
のんびり起きる。
コーヒー。
小さな鳥が壁をつついているので外に出てみると、
コンポストの近くにシカ。
小さな苗木もすぐそばにあるので追い払ったけれど、やっぱりいまいち逃げない。
コヨーテの方が怖がりだ。
ヤマナラシの葉っぱがすこしなくなっていた。
上の方だからたぶんシカ。鳥が止まれるほどしっかりした枝はないし。
一瞬、ああ食べられた！と思ったけれど、食べたくなる気持ちもわかってしまう。
やわらかくて、おいしそうだよね。
夫は走りに行き、わたしは昨日予定した通りに種を植えていく。
キュウリ、スイスチャード、ミズナ、チンゲンサイ、シソ、ゴボウ。
たまたまだけどアジア系の野菜が多くなった。
先月植えたところにまた種を足したりしてから水やり。
ちょっと草刈りもして。
そうこうしているうちに、あっというまに３時になっていた。
びっくりする。
曇っていると外にいても平気だからあっという間に時間がたってしまう。
夕方、郵便箱を見にいくと、たくさん入っていた。
お友達が送ってくれた本、葉書、それから公共料金のいろいろ。
先月は水道水で水やりをしていたので、水道代が心配だったのだけど、
たいしたことなかった。
というか、これはちゃんとカウントしているんだろうか。
あやしいぞ。
夫が昨日の残り物でチャーハンにしてくれる。
そのあとはずっとひっついてごろごろしていた。
仲良しの猫がずっとひっついているようだ、とよく思う。
じんわりあたたかくて気持ちがいい。
