yuko's diary 5/12/25

I woke up 5, and got ready.

We saw a baby deer just outside of the kitchen window.

It fleet when I opened the door.

This will be a year of deer, I guess.

Dan drove me to the bus station, and I took bus to the south town.

It was so beautiful after rain.

We had little trouble but then everything was fine.

As we had a big lunch break, we walked down to the river.

It’s so quiet, looked like a lake.

On the way back to the hospital, I saw my bus, and say hi to the driver.

I took the bus little after 3, and Dan came to pick me up.

Everything was beautiful.

The mountains here are rocky and not much trees, but now Russian sage is blooming.

There is yellow native flower everywhere.

The sky is big, and air smelled fresh.

Back home, I baked fish sticks, and Dan made them into tacos.

We ate a lot.

My workout was whole body.

It was hard, but I don’t have any sore parts yet.

Dan was more tired than I was.

Staying home is harder than going to work.

There are always countless work at home.

We watched baseball and basketball, and went to bed early.

5時に起きて準備していたら、窓のすぐ外に小鹿。

ドアを開ける音で逃げていったし、何も食べていなかったけれど、今年はシカが多い年になりそう。

夫に送ってもらって、7時のバスに乗って、南の町まで。

雨上がりの、川沿いの町はとてもきれいだった。

朝少しトラブルがあったものの、そのあとは順調に進んでいく。

お昼に大きな休みがあったので、ずーっと歩いて行って、川の近くまで。

静かで大きくて湖みたいに見える。

ぐるりと歩いて戻る途中で、わたしのバスに遭遇する。

運転手さんももう覚えてくれているので手を振って挨拶。

3時過ぎにバスにのって、また夫に迎えに来てもらう。

なんともきれいな景色が続く。

ここの山は岩山で、セージや松がポツポツ生えているくらい。

年中変わらない景色かと思いきや、今はセージの紫の花が満開でとてもきれい。

黄色の野草も咲いていてそれもまたきれい。

あとは空がやっぱり大きい。

帰宅してフィッシュステックをオーブンで焼き、夫がタコスにしてくれて食べる。

お腹いっぱいになるまで食べた。

ワークアウトは全身。

このシリーズはきついけれど、今の所筋肉痛になっていないのが幸い。

夫の方が疲れている。

仕事に行っている方が、することが決まっているから楽だと思う。

家にいるとやることが無限にある。

野球とバスケを見て、早めに眠った。
