Saturday.
The rain had stopped.
Coffee, Hawaiian bread.
I changed and went outside.
Dug the hole bigger.
Then I made mulch using dead weeds.
There are so much in the neighbor’s yard, but I only took the side which is close to our property.
Saige was out whole day.
She followed me everywhere and sit by my side while I was working.
In the afternoon, the sun came out.
Dan came out and had some sun.
Saige thinks Dan always gives her some ham,
so every time she saw him, asked some treat.
I dug a hole by wild rose.
I will plant Rugosa rose here.
Dan made ramen in the evening.
And we could just call a day, but we went outside again.
I did weeding around choke cherry, and Dan was painting.
We worked until it’s chilly, and the sun was still up.
It was 7:30.
We watched comedy and went to bed.
土曜日。
雨は止んでいる。
コーヒー、ハワイのパン。
着替えて外へ。
先日掘った穴をもうすこし拡張する。
それから枯れ葉を刈ってマルチにしていく作業。
隣の空き地に生えている枯れ葉がいいマルチになりそうだった。
中に入っていくのは憚れるので、こちらの敷地との合間で採取。
セージはずっと外にいて、わたしの後をついてくる。作業する間、横に座っていた。
曇っていて風もあるし、気温もそんなに高くないのに暖かく感じる。
午後、少しだけ太陽が出て、夫も日向ぼっこ。
夫が時々ハムの切れ端とかをあげるので、夫が出てくるたびに今日はなにもないの、とせがむセージ。
ハマナスが1本来るので、もともとあった野生のバラ？の横に穴を掘っておく。
うまく育てばローズヒップが採れるみたいで楽しみだな～。
夕方夫がつくってくれたラーメンを食べる。
いちにち外にいて、疲れていたのでそのまま休んでもよかったけれど、
夕陽がきれいでまた外に出る。
夫もペンキ塗りをしていた。
チョークチェリーの葉が出てきていたので、周りの草引きを。
うまく根付いてくれてよかった。
さすがに肌寒くなったな、と思ったらもう7時半だった。
日が長くなったな。
気楽なコメディ映画を見て、のんびりして寝た。
