I woke up little past seven.
I forgot that we need to drink a lot of water in hotel room. Went to buy water twice at the bending machine.
We left without having breakfast.
Got coffee and muffin at the Starbucks.
Today I had an appointment with a doctor.
I don’t have any problem now, but it has been 5 years or so since I saw a doctor last time,
so it was good timing.
We decided to make appointment for mammography and other checkups.
I was nervous to talk with doctor in English and brought my electric dictionary,
but doctor and nurses are all so nice there.
Back home, it was chilly inside house.
Only one day we were not there, and we can seed the differences.
The spring is really coming.
Apricot flower is almost in full bloom.
I like how it looks like we have a big cherry blossoms in the front yard.
I was tired, so I went out to work in the garden, but had to stop soon.
We didn’t eat enough.
We went to get food at taco truck, and then got phone call from Betty who was holding our food from Azure.
We went to get them, they took great care.
Back home, organized food,
and we watched first baseball game in the season.
Mets won!
７時過ぎに目覚ましで起きる。
ホテルというのは、喉が渇く場所だと忘れていた。
自販機に水を買いに二回行った。
朝は食べずに出発、ハイウェイの直前のスターバックスでコーヒーとマフィン。
今日はわたしの方の診察。
町に着いたらまだはやかったので、ホームセンターで少し買い物してから行く。
特にどこも悪くないけれど、前回お医者さんに会ったのは５年も前なので、
いろいろ伝えて、マンモグラフィーやその他のチェックアップをすることになった。
医師と英語で話すのは緊張するし、電子辞書も持参したけれど、
看護師の方も含めてみなさんとても話しやすかった。
帰宅してみると、いちにち空けただけなのに、家のなかがひんやりしている。
こんなに変わるんだな。
外を見回ってみると、着実に１日分、春になっていた。
アプリコットの花がきれいで、遠目から見ると、前庭に大きな桜の木があるみたいに見えてうれしい。
どうも疲れていたので、いちおうお庭にもでたけれど、ちょっと作業して終わり。
夕方、なにも食べていなかったので、夫といっしょにブリトーを買いに行った。
ちょうどそこで、電話がある。
昨日は月一の食料品の配達日だったのだけど、いけなかったので、世話役の人が代わりに自宅に引き取ってくれていたのだった。
今行ってもいい、ということでお邪魔する。
ちゃんと冷凍品、冷蔵品、とわけて管理してくれていた。ありがたい。
戻って、食料品を片付けて、今日から始まったメジャーリーグを見る。
メッツ勝った！
とにかく、無事にひとつ終わってほっとした。
