yuko's diary 4/3/26

Friday.

It’s weekend but we were busy today.

First, we went to the tire change, left house 7:00.

Dropped off the car, and walked down to the southern town.

When we were crossing the road, there were two cars waiting for us, and we ran.

My phone came out of my shallow pocket and fell on the screen.

It shattered it.

Dan felt like it was his fault, but the phone was still working, and it was not his fault.

After having coffee at cafe, we walked back to the store, and it was the perfect timing.

Then we went to Walmart.

We picked out usual stuff, and then Dan showed me what he does at work.

He always talk about but it was fun to actually see it.

Back home, we had fish and chips for lunch.

And I baked rye bread.

Dan was taking nap, but I wasn’t sleepy, so I did some weeding in the garden.

Later I joined him.

In the evening, we went to community center to check their vintage faire.

There were so many beautiful stuff.

Then we stopped at the tech store.

They told me that they could fix the phone screen, and I should come back tomorrow morning.

It was a relief.

After little shopping, we came home, and I started cooking dinner.

Dan went back to the pickup.

The dinner was ready when he came back.

We watched “Rental Family”

It was interesting how they mixed Japanese and English.

It was beautiful, and I liked music.

An eventful day.

金曜日。

週末だけど、今日は忙しい。

まずはタイヤ交換へ。7時に家を出る。

車を置いて、歩いて南の町へ。

横断歩道を渡る時、車が2台待っていてくれたので、小走りで渡る。

渡りきる直前で、ジャケットのポケットから携帯が落ちて、スクリーンが割れてしまった。

あーあ。

夫は自分が急かしたせいだと謝ってくれたけれど、ポケットが浅いのに入れていたのがいけなかった。

操作はできるので問題なし。

カフェで一服してからまた歩いて戻るとちょうど終わっていた。

それから夫の職場の大きなスーパーへ。

ものすごくでかくて、圧倒される。

さっと必要なものをカゴに入れた後は、夫がいつも働いているところでいろいろ説明してもらう。

いつも話には聞いていたけれど、実際見ると納得。

職場見学、楽しかった。

帰宅して、フィッシュアンドチップスでお昼ごはん。

朝仕込んだライ麦パンを焼く。

夫はお昼寝していたけれど、眠くないのでお庭で少し草引き。

しばらく後で横になった。

夕方、町へ。

コミュニティセンターで、ヴィンテージフェアがあったので見てまわる。

いろんな古いものがあってすごくおもしろい。

それから近くのパソコン修理店へ行ってみる。

携帯のスクリーンの修理も可能だけど、今日はもうおしまいだから明日来てと。

助かったー。

買い物して帰宅し、わたしは晩ごはんに取り掛かる。

いつものマヒマヒ定食。

夫は食料配達の受け取りに行ってくれた。

ちょうど帰宅したタイミングで出来上がり。

夜、映画をみる。

『レンタル・ファミリー』（2025）

英語と日本語の混ぜ具合がおもしろかった。

映像もきれいで、音楽もいいしとても好き。

盛りだくさんの一日だった。
